  1. 1. Stochastic Event-Based Control and Estimation

    Författare :Toivo Henningsson; Institutionen för reglerteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; event-based control; event-based estimation; sporadic control; stochastic control; stochastic hybrid systems; sum-of-squares methods; control over networks; quantized measurements;

    Sammanfattning : Digital controllers are traditionally implemented using periodic sampling, computation, and actuation events. As more control systems are implemented to share limited network and CPU bandwidth with other tasks, it is becoming increasingly attractive to use some form of event-based control instead, where precious events are used only when needed. 2. 2. On LQG-Optimal Event-Based Sampling

    Författare :Marcus Thelander Andrén; Institutionen för reglerteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Event-based control; LQG control; sampled-data control; Stochastic control; Event-based PID control; Event-based state estimation; stochastic triggering;

    Sammanfattning : Event-based control is a promising concept for the design of resource-efficient feedback systems, where events such as sampling, actuation, and data transmissions are triggered reactively based on monitored control performance rather than a periodic timer. In this thesis, we investigate how sampling and communication events should be triggered to fully exploit the potential of event-based control based on the classic linear–quadratic–Gaussian (LQG) framework. 3. 3. Event-Based Control and Estimation with Stochastic Disturbances

    Författare :Toivo Henningsson; Institutionen för reglerteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; event-based control; stochastic control; event-based estimation; control over networks; quantized measurements; sporadic control; embedded control;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with event-based control and estimation strategies, motivated by certain bottlenecks in the control loop. Two kinds of implementation constraints are considered: closing one or several control loops over a data network, and sensors that report measurements only as intervals (e.g. with quantization). 4. 4. Wireless Sensor Network Scheduling and Event-based Control for Industrial Processes

    Författare :Takuya Iwaki; Karl H. Johansson; Vijay Gupta; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Networked control systems; Wireless sensor and actuator network; Event-based control; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Control over wireless sensor and actuator networks is of growing interest in process industry since it enables flexible design, deployment, operation, and maintenance. An important problem in industrial wireless control is how to limit the amount of information that needs to be exchanged over the network. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Networked control over wireless networks is of growing importance in many application domains such as industrial control, building automation and transportation systems. Wide deployment however, requires systematic design tools to enable efficient resource usage while guaranteeing close-loop control performance. LÄS MER
