  1. 21. Development of ADAPT-based tracers for radionuclide molecular imaging of cancer

    Författare :Javad Garousi; Vladimir Tolmachev; Tony Lahoutte; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :ADAPT; scaffold protein; albumin-binding domain ABD ; Affinity protein; HER2; radionuclide molecular imaging;

    Sammanfattning : ABD-Derived Affinity Proteins (ADAPTs) is a novel class of small engineered scaffold proteins based on albumin-binding domain (ABD) of streptococcal protein G. High affinity ADAPT  binders against various therapeutic targets can be selected. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Engineering of Affibody molecules for Radionuclide Molecular Imaging and Intracellular Targeting

    Författare :Camilla Hofström; Torbjörn Gräslund; Serge Muyldermans; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Affibody molecules; affinity proteins; radionuclide molecular imaging; intracellular targeting; EGFR; HER2; IGF-1R; SRA - Molecular Bioscience; SRA - Molekylär biovetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Affibody molecules are small (7 kDa) affinity proteins of non-immunoglobulin origin that have been generated to specifically interact with a large number of clinically important molecular targets.In this thesis, Affibody molecules have been employed as tracers for radionuclide molecular imaging of HER2- and IGF-1R-expressing tumors, paper I-IV, and for surface knock-down of EGFR, paper V. 3. 23. Computational patient models for simulation of dynamic gamma-camera imaging : Application to renography and peptide receptor radionuclide therapy

    Författare :Gustav Brolin; Lund Medicinsk strålningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Nuclear medicine; Gamma camera; Renography; Radionuclide therapy; Internal dosimetry; Pharmacokinetics;

    Sammanfattning : Many nuclear medicine investigations rely on gamma-camera imaging to study and quantify the distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or radionuclides in the patient as a function of time. This is typically used for diagnostic studies of physiological functions or for calculation of absorbed doses following radionuclide therapy. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Targeted radionuclide therapy for patients with neuroendocrine tumours with focus on normal tissue response in 177-Lu-DOTATATE treatment

    Författare :Johanna Svensson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Radionuclide therapy; Neuroendocrine tumours; 177Lu-DOTATATE; dosimetry; normal tissue response;

    Sammanfattning : Targeted radionuclide therapy with 177Lu-DOTATATE for patients with neuroendocrine tumours utilises the frequent overexpressing of somatostatin receptors on the tumour cells. This treatment modality has demonstrated valuable patient benefits and is well tolerated. However, renal and bone marrow toxicity can become dose limiting and persisting. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Dosimetry of Radionuclide Therapy with 177Lu-octreotate

    Författare :Mattias Sandström; Hans Lundqvist; Mark Lubberink; Sven-Erik Strand; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; 177Lu-octreotate; Absorbed dose; Neuroendocrine tumour; Medicinsk radiofysik; Medical Radiophysics;

    Sammanfattning : In radionuclide therapy it is still common to administer standard activities or to scale administered activity with blunt parameters such as body weight or surface area. This is not ideal because, due to considerable variation in kinetics, large safety margins have to be applied to avoid radiation damage to healthy organs, which causes under-treatment of many patients.
