  1. 16. Realistic tissue dosimetry models using Monte Carlo simulations. Applications for radionuclide therapies

    Författare :Erik Larsson; Lund Medicinsk strålningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; internal dosimetry; radionuclide therapy; Monte Carlo; small scale dosimetry;

    Sammanfattning : Radionuclide therapy (RNT) is a generic term for treatment modalities that use a radionuclide labeled to a target-specific molecule. This so-called radiopharmaceutical accumulates in the target, where the ionizing radiation damages the cells. At sufficient levels of radiation, the cells cannot repair themselves. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Antibody Mediated Radionuclide Targeting of HER-2 for Cancer Diagnostics and Therapy : Preclinical Studies

    Författare :Mikael Persson; Per-Uno Malmström; Vladimir Tolmachev; Jörgen Carlsson; Marion De Jong; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Molecular medicine; Neoplasm Antibodies; Targeted Radiotherapy; Radionuclide Imaging; Molekylärmedicin;

    Sammanfattning : Targeted radionuclide therapy (TRT) holds great promise for the treatment of cancer. In TRT, radioactive nuclides are delivered specifically to tumours by molecules that recognise and bind to structures overexpressed by, or specific to, cancer cells. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy in Neuroendocrine Neoplasms : Aspects of tumour characteristics, receptor recycling and peptide mass

    Författare :Ulrika Jahn; Anders Sundin; Mark Lubberink; Ulrike Garske-Román; Mona-Elisabeth Rootwelt-Revheim; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Neuroendocrine tumors; Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy PRRT ; Peptide; Small-Intestinal; Pancreatic; Dosimetry; Somatostatin receptor;

    Sammanfattning : Neuroendocrine neoplasm (NEN) can arise in any part of the body, but most commonly in the lungs, bronchi, and the gastrointestinal tract including the pancreas. They combine neuroendocrine and tissue-of-origin-specific characteristics; explaining different symptoms depending on the organ of origin. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Molecular Radionuclide Imaging Using Site-specifically Labelled Recombinant Affibody Molecules : Preparation and Preclinical Evaluation

    Författare :Sara Ahlgren; Vladimir Tolmachev; Anna Orlova; Göran Hedenstierna; Joachim Feldwisch; Raymond Reilly; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; molecular radionuclide imaging; Affibody molecules; HER2; cancer detection; radiolabelling; technetium; indium; cobalt; SPECT; PET; Oncology; Onkologi; Diagnostic radiology; Diagnostisk radiologi; Radiation biology; Strålningsbiologi; Biomedical Radiation Science; Biomedicinsk strålningsvetenskap; Medicinsk vetenskap; Medical Science;

    Sammanfattning : Radionuclide molecular imaging is an emerging multidisciplinary technique that is used in modern medicine to visualise diseases at cellular and molecular levels. This thesis is based on five papers (I-V) and focuses on the development of site-specific radiolabelled recombinant anti-HER2 Affibody molecules and preclinical evaluations in vitro and in vivo of the labelled conjugates. 5. 20. Computational and experimental methods for imaging and dosimetry in 177Lu radionuclide therapy : Classical and novel gamma cameras

    Författare :Daniel Roth; Lund Medicinsk strålningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Radionuklidterapi; [177Lu]Lu-DOTA-TATE; Gammakamera; Aktivitetskvantifiering; Dosimetri; CdZnTe; Monte Carlo; Radionuclide therapy; [177Lu]Lu-DOTA-TATE; Gamma camera imaging; Activity quantification; Dosimetry; CdZnTe; Monte Carlo;

    Sammanfattning : Radionuclide therapy (RNT) is a form of radiotherapy that uses unsealed radioactive sources for the delivery of ionising radiation within a patient's body.Radiation dosimetry is not used routinely in all centres, and the RNT field can benefit from more data on pharmacokinetics and absorbed doses (ADs).
