   Sammanfattning : This dissertation gives a description of the regulation of marriage, registered partnership and cohabitation - emphazising the joint dwelling - in the perspective of two basic normative patterns, on one side community and on the other financial independence/individual ownership, trying to explain the differences and similarities between the regulations. The content of the legal regulation is, furthermore, set in relation to the question whether marriage and cohabitation are best characterised as status or contractual relationships. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : Rainfall characteristics of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, are studied in space and time; on a large scale, 550 km2, and long term scale to find out the monsoon influence, and on urban basin scale, 23 km2, to determine dynamic properties of rainfalls and spatial correlations, and on a point scale to determine the probabilities of very high rain intensities. The importance of spatial and temporal variability of rainfall was investigated applying cross correlation on long term historical rainfalls from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : The space astrometry mission Gaia, planned for launch in 2013 by the European Space Agency (ESA), will provide the most comprehensive and accurate catalogue of astrometric data for galactic and astrophysical research in the coming decades. Did they consider love and the parties' free choice to be of any importantance in the making of a marriage? What happened when marriages were falling apart, how common were divorces? I also discuss why sexuality was restricted, and how it affected women and men. What effects did changes in the legislation have?
