3. Bodelning och bostad: ekonomisk självständighet eller gemenskap
Sammanfattning : This dissertation gives a description of the regulation of marriage, registered partnership and cohabitation - emphazising the joint dwelling - in the perspective of two basic normative patterns, on one side community and on the other financial independence/individual ownership, trying to explain the differences and similarities between the regulations. The content of the legal regulation is, furthermore, set in relation to the question whether marriage and cohabitation are best characterised as status or contractual relationships. LÄS MER
4. Hundra år av tvåsamhet : Äktenskapet i svenska statliga utredningar 1909-2009
Sammanfattning : The aim of the thesis is to study the concept of marriage and discursive constructions linked to marriage in Swedish policy documents, SOU, 1909-2009. Focusing on marriage as a formal institution, and on form, rather than content – marriage is considered one of several ways of regulating intimate relationships, and the analysis is thus centred on the intimate and erotic aspects of marriage as an institution. 5. Bedroom Politics. How family policies affect women’s fertility and union formation decisions
Sammanfattning : Most studies on policies’ effect on fertility depart from the assumption that fertility decisions are taken within unions, by partners who behave altruistically towards each other. This study argues that such a focus misses a fundamental fact: namely, that fertility decisions are closely interrelated with decisions about union formation and union dissolution. LÄS MER
