Sammanfattning : The overall aim of the research was to explore the magnitude and characteristics of domestic violence against women in Leon, Nicaragua. A cross-sectional survey was carried out among a representative sample of 488 women between the ages of 15-49 years. In-depth interviews were performed with women who had experienced violence.
