11. Resource-Predictable and Efficient Monitoring of Events
Sammanfattning : We present a formally specified event specification language (Solicitor). Solicitor is suitable for real-time systems, since it results in resource-predictable and efficient event monitors. LÄS MER
12. Fearful attention : Investigating event-related potentials in spider phobia
Sammanfattning : Previous studies showed that emotional pictures capture attention. Further, this effect was decreased by manipulating spatial attention. In contrast, studies produced mixed findings for effects of perceptual load on attention to emotional pictures. Emotional pictures can be phobic or nonphobic. LÄS MER
13. The Shape of Strangeness: Transverse Spherocity and Underlying Event studies of φ and its relation to Ξ in √s = 13 TeV pp collisions
Sammanfattning : Through ultrarelativistic particle collisions at the LHC, it is possible to deconfine quarks and gluons. This deconfinement gives rise to a strongly interacting medium, referred to as the Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP). LÄS MER
14. Optional rhemes and omitted undergoers : An event structure approach to implicit objects in Swedish
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to define the essential syntactic-semantic properties of three types of objectless sentences in present-day Swedish. The three types of objectless sentences are labeled descriptively as follows: Implicit Object Read type (IOR) with pseudo-transitive verbs like läsa ‘read’; Implicit Object Open type (IOO), which involves various sets of transitive verbs like öppna ‘open’ and bära ‘carry’; and Implicit Object Kill type (IOK), which typically involves destruction verbs like döda ‘kill’. 15. Development and Implementation of Cardiac Event Detectors in Digital CMOS
Sammanfattning : This doctoral dissertation presents the development and digital hardware realization of cardiac event detectors. Implantable medical appliances, as the cardiac pacemaker, have progressed from a life sustaining device to a device that considerably improves life quality for all ages. LÄS MER
