    Författare :Zhitao He; Thiemo Voigt; Shahid Raza; Per Gunningberg; Mário Alves; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Internet of Things; Wireless Sensor Networks; Radio Interference; Denial-of-service Attacks; Public Key Infrastructure; Electrical Engineering with Specialisation in Networked Embedded Systems; Elektroteknik med inriktning mot nätverksbaserade inbyggda system;

    Sammanfattning : The popular notion of Internet of Things (IoT) implies two salient features: 1. a diversity of small things, i.e., constrained devices; 2. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Static Timing Analysis of Parallel Systems Using Abstract Execution

    Författare :Andreas Gustavsson; Björn Lisper; Jan Gustafsson; Andreas Ermedahl; Nan Guan; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; WCET analysis; parallel systems; multi-core; multicore; threaded programming language; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : The Power Wall has stopped the past trend of increasing processor throughput by increasing the clock frequency and the instruction level parallelism.Therefore, the current trend in computer hardware design is to expose explicit parallelism to the software level. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Few is Just Enough! : Small Model Theorem for Parameterized Verification and Shape Analysis

    Författare :Frédéric Haziza; Parosh Aziz Abdulla; Tomáš Vojnar; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; program verification; model checking; parameterized systems; infinite-state systems; reachability; approximation; safety; tree systems; shape analysis; small model properties; view abstraction; monotonic abstraction; Computer Science; Datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : This doctoral thesis considers the automatic verification of parameterized systems, i.e. systems with an arbitrary number of communicating components, such as mutual exclusion protocols, cache coherence protocols or heap manipulating programs. The components may be organized in various topologies such as words, multisets, rings, or trees. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Runtime Management of Multiprocessor Systems for Fault Tolerance, Energy Efficiency and Load Balancing

    Författare :Stavros Tzilis; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Fault Tolerance; Algorithms; Runtime Management; Multiprocessors; Performance; Adaptive Systems; Load Balancing; Energy Efficiency;

    Sammanfattning : Efficiency of modern multiprocessor systems is hurt by unpredictable events: aging causes permanent faults that disable components; application spawnings and terminations taking place at arbitrary times, affect energy proportionality, causing energy waste; load imbalances reduce resource utilization, penalizing performance. This thesis demonstrates how runtime management can mitigate the negative effects of unpredictable events, making decisions guided by a combination of static information known in advance and parameters that only become known at runtime. 5. 5. High Performance Hybrid Memory Systems with 3D-stacked DRAM

    Författare :Evangelos Vasilakis; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; DRAM caches; Data migration; 3D-stacked DRAM; Hybrid memory systems;

    Sammanfattning : The bandwidth of traditional DRAM is pin limited and so does not scale well with the increasing demand of data intensive workloads. 3D-stacked DRAM can alleviate this problem providing substantially higher bandwidth to a processor chip. LÄS MER
