  1. 16. Plasticity Driven Damage and Void Growth

    Författare :Mattias Olsson; Kärnfysik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Termisk teknik; termodynamik; Maskinteknik; hydraulik; vakuumteknik; vibrationer; akustik; Thermal engineering; applied thermodynamics; vibration and acoustic engineering; vacuum technology; hydraulics; void growth; Mechanical engineering; damage evolution; elasto-plasticity; thermodynamics;

    Sammanfattning : Plasticity induced damage evolution is considered using a thermodynamical approach. Different postulates on how to include the effects of damage in the constitutive equations have been studied. The results reveal that a mapping, similar to that of the stress, of both the kinematic and isotropic hardening variables is to be preferred. LÄS MER

  2. 17. A Damage-Based Interface Model: Application to the Degradation and Failure of a Polycrystalline Microstructure

    Författare :Patrik Cannmo; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; damage; polycrystalline microstructure; degradation; slip and dilatation; interfaces; FE-calculations; viscoplasticity; plasticity; failure;

    Sammanfattning : A constitutive model for material interfaces is presented. The model is based on damage coupled to plastic (or viscoplastic) slip and dilatation, and it is able to describe the successive degradation and failure of an interface. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Biomarkers for DNA damage in human biomonitoring

    Författare :Natalia Kotova; Dag Jenssen; Jan Grawé; Lilianne Abramsson-Zetterberg; Mats Ljungman; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :biomonitoring; biomarkers; DNA damage; cancer; diet; UV-light; molekylärgenetik; Molecular Genetics;

    Sammanfattning : Genomic DNA in humans is constantly exposed to different kinds of damage. Therefore, it is desirable to implement methods for detecting and measuring of inflicted body burden. Human biomonitoring (HBM) can here be a useful tool as a link between environmental exposure and disease outcome. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Radiation response in human cells : DNA damage formation, repair and signaling

    Författare :Ann-Sofie Gustafsson; Bo Stenerlöw; Andrzej Wojcik; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; DNA damage; DNA repair; DSB; NHEJ; DNA-PK; ionizing radiation; heat-labile sites; Biomedical Radiation Science; Biomedicinsk strålningsvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Ionizing radiation induces a range of different DNA lesions. In terms of mutation frequency and mammalian cell survival, the most critical of these lesions is the DNA double-strand break (DSB). DSB left unrepaired or mis-repaired may result in chromosomal aberrations that can lead to permanent genetic changes or cell death. LÄS MER

    Författare :Juan José Espadas Escalante; Martin Fagerström; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Engineering science with specialization in Applied Mechanics; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot tillämpad mekanik;

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation analyzes various mechanical properties of textile reinforced composite laminates.The dissertation is based on a total of six published works, which are essentially numerical, although experimental elements are available. LÄS MER
