  1. 1. Ductile damage modeling of the machining process

    Detta är en avhandling från Gothenburg : Chalmers tekniska högskola

    Författare :SENAD RAZANICA; [2019]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Ductile fracture; Damage threshold criterion; Damage evolution; Machining simulation; Mesh dependence; Thermodynamics; Johnson-Cook; Damage driving energy;

    Sammanfattning : Machining processes are among the most common manufacturing processes for producing components used on a daily basis. It is a complex material removal process. Today, the research and development within the manufacturing industry is addressed by cost efficient numerical simulation strategies rather than by costly experimental procedures. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Modelling of Solid Oxide Fuel Cells Applied to the Analysis of Integrated Systems with Gas Turbines

    Detta är en avhandling från Department of Heat and Power Engineering, Lund university

    Författare :Azra Selimovic; [2002]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; statistical physics; plasma; plasmas; Gaser; fluiddynamik; Termisk teknik; termodynamik; Gases; fluid dynamics; applied thermodynamics; Thermal engineering; Hybrid Cycles; Gas Turbines; Mathematical Modelling; Electrochemistry; Fuel Cells; Solid Oxide Fuel Cells; thermodynamics; Matematisk och allmän teoretisk fysik; klassisk mekanik; kvantmekanik; relativitet; gravitation; statistisk fysik; Mathematical and general theoretical physics; classical mechanics; quantum mechanics; relativity;

    Sammanfattning : Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs), working at high temperatures with an incomplete fuel oxidation process, have become an interesting candidate for combination with conventional power generation technology, such as gas turbines, in order to develop power plants that are both functional and efficient. An absolute condition for successful analysis and optimisation of such plants is the existence of reliable simulation tools. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Plasticity Driven Damage and Void Growth

    Detta är en avhandling från Solid Mechanics, Lund University, P O Box 118, SE-221 00 Lund, Sweden

    Författare :Mattias Olsson; [2004]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Termisk teknik; termodynamik; Maskinteknik; hydraulik; vakuumteknik; vibrationer; akustik; Thermal engineering; applied thermodynamics; vibration and acoustic engineering; vacuum technology; hydraulics; void growth; Mechanical engineering; damage evolution; elasto-plasticity; thermodynamics;

    Sammanfattning : Plasticity induced damage evolution is considered using a thermodynamical approach. Different postulates on how to include the effects of damage in the constitutive equations have been studied. The results reveal that a mapping, similar to that of the stress, of both the kinematic and isotropic hardening variables is to be preferred. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Hydrogen Storage Materials Design, Catalysis, Thermodynamics, Structure and Optics

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Carlos Moysés Graça Araújo; Uppsala universitet.; [2008]
    Nyckelord :Materials science; Hydrogen-storage materials; Density functional theory; Molecular dynamics; Catalysis; Thermodynamics; Optics; Materialvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Hydrogen is abundant, uniformly distributed throughout the Earth's surface and its oxidation product (water) is environmentally benign. Owing to these features, it is considered as an ideal synthetic fuel for a new world energetic matrix (renewable, secure and environmentally friendly) that could allow a sustainable future development. 5. 5. Analogical reasoning in science education - connections to semantics and scientific modelling in thermodynamics

    Detta är en avhandling från Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press

    Författare :Jesper Haglund; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [2012]
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; science education; thermodynamics; analogical reasoning; semantics; scientific modelling; naturvetenskapsdidaktik; termodynamik; analogiskt tänkande; semantik; vetenskaplig modellering;

    Sammanfattning : Analogiskt tänkande är en central kognitiv förmåga som vi använder i vardagslivet, såväl som i mer formella sammanhang, såsom i forskning och undervisning. Föreliggande avhandling behandlar hur analogier och analogiskt tänkande, uppmärksamhet på semantik och förståelse för vetenskaplig modellering kan användas för att hantera utmaningar i naturvetenskapsundervisningen, särskilt inom området termodynamik.
