    Sammanfattning : The studies in this doctoral thesis report aspects of cognitive and socio emotional development in a group of teenagers and young adults with dyslexia. The 75 subjects, between 14 and 25 years of age, had been diagnosed in the latter half of the 1990s, and the collection of quantitative and qualitative data was performed in 2003-04. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Although it is medically safe to give birth in most western countries, the vast majority of pregnant women experience some kind of anxiety, fear or worry in relation to their pregnancy or the upcoming childbirth. Most pregnant women find ways of coping with these issues but, for many, fear of birth is a significant source of distress during pregnancy, with negative consequences both when giving birth and in the postpartum period.     Sammanfattning : Thalidomide has a chiral center and the racemate of (+)-(R) and (-)-(S)-thalidomide was introduced as a hypnotic/sedative drug in 1957.     Sammanfattning : Non-motor symptoms and signs such as metabolic and psychiatric disturbances have been reported to occur early in Huntington’s disease (HD), a fatal neurodegenerative disorder caused by an expanded CAG repeat in the huntingtin gene.
