    Sammanfattning : Computed tomography (CT) is a widely used medical imaging modality. By rotating an x-ray tube and an x-ray detector around the patient, a CT scanner is able to measure the x-ray transmission from all directions and form an image of the patient’s interior. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Bra läge men dåligt rykte : En jämförande historisk studie av tre stadsdelar i Borås, Eskilstuna och Gävle

    Författare :Mats Sundin; Mats Franzén; Ulf Drugge; Uppsala universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : Centrally located problem areas of today, with suburban-like modernist architecture, are an anomaly in Sweden. The purpose of the present study is to investigate this Swedish anomaly by comparing three such city sections – Norrby in Borås, Nyfors in Eskilstuna and Öster in Gävle – and to try to answer the question: what type of case is this? To answer this question, a theoretical perspective distinguishing habitation, population and images is developed using concepts from Bourdieu, Elias and Scotson, Goffman, Lefebvre and Østerberg. 5. 10. Pharmacodynamics of Enzyme Induction and its Consequences for Substrate Elimination

    Författare :Mats O. Magnusson; Rikard Sandström; Mats Karlsson; Ulf Bredberg; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Pharmacokinetics Pharmacotherapy; Pharmacokinetics; Pharmacodynamics; Enzyme induction; Time course; Turnover model; Mechanism-based; Modelling; NONMEM; Farmakokinetik Farmakoterapi;

    Sammanfattning : Enzyme induction is a process whereby a molecule enhances the expression of enzymes. If the affected enzymes are involved in the elimination of a drug, this may result in a drug interaction. Induction is therefore of major concern during drug development and in clinical practice.
