    Sammanfattning : The aim of this dissertation is to examine the style of the Swedish entertainer Povel Ramel (1922-2007) as a composer and lyricist of popular songs, and to elucidate his relation to the older popular music culture, denoted "the age of melody". In the main part of the study the author analyses more than 80 works by Ramel, which he created in the 1950s and 60s. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : In my dissertation, I study the ways discourses of Finnishness and Saminess are being construed in three French travel depictions dating from 17th to 19th century and their Finnish translations dating from the late 20th century.     Sammanfattning : This dissertation examines diasporic narratives of Swedish national belonging among a group of young women of Latin American descent, born and/or raised in Sweden, and adoptees. Based on individual interviews, pair interviews, and focus group discussions with twenty-nine high school girls in the Stockholm region, the study aims to understand how mechanisms of exclusion and inclusion operate through intersecting power structures of race, class, gender, sexuality, and age, in the increasingly multi-ethnic Sweden.
