1. Effective Spatial Mapping for Coupled Code Analysis of Thermal–Hydraulics/Neutron–Kinetics of Boiling Water Reactors
Sammanfattning : Analyses of nuclear reactor safety have increasingly required coupling of full three dimensional neutron kinetics (NK) core models with system transient thermal–hydraulics (TH) codes. In order to produce results within a reasonable computing time, the coupled codes use two different spatial description of the reactor core. LÄS MER
2. Generation of midbrain dopaminergic neurons in vivo and in vitro: the role of Neurogenin2
Sammanfattning : Parkinsons disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disorder where dopaminergic neurons of the substantia nigra (SNc) in the mesencephalon are progressively eliminated. The ensuing loss of dopaminergic innervation of the basal ganglia manifests itself as severe motor deficits in PD patients. LÄS MER
3. Development of central catecholaminergic neuronal systems in the lizard Anolis sagrei
Sammanfattning : Catecholamines, comprising the neurotransmitters dopamine (DA), noradrenaline (NA) and adrenaline (A) are synthesized by specific enzymes (tyrosine hydroxylase (TH), dopamine ß-hydroxylase (DBH), phenylethanolamine-N-methyltransferase (PNMT)) in the central nervous system. The development and distribution of different catecholaminergic systems have been described in both the brain and retina of the lizard Anolis sagrei. LÄS MER
4. Studier över sörmländska sjönamn : Etymologi, namnbildning och formutveckling
Sammanfattning : The study of Swedish lake names may involve difficulties of many different kinds. The varying themes of the individual studies making up this thesis reflect the wide span of hydronymic research. Lake names can be structured morphologically, semantically, chronologically and geographically. LÄS MER
5. Early events in T cell development
Sammanfattning : T cells constitute a heterogenous population of lymphocytes. Their unifying property is that they express surface bound antigen-receptors, called T cell receptors (TCRs). The TCR is a heterodimer composed of either TCRalpha and beta chain proteins (alphabeta TCR) or gamma and delta chain proteins (gammadelta TCR). LÄS MER
