  1. 31. Cutaneous Human Papillomaviruses

    Författare :Kristina Hazard; Malmö Klinisk mikrobiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Microbiology; bacteriology; virology; mycology; Skin cancer; HPV heterogeneity; Persistence; Human Papillomavirus; Phylogeny; Mikrobiologi; bakteriologi; virologi; mykologi;

    Sammanfattning : Human papillomaviruses (HPVs) exist as more than 100 distinct types. Variants of HPVs appear to be common findings while HPV subtypes have been considered rare. New information about subtypes has recently been reported by us. LÄS MER

  2. 32. Effects of morphometric isolation and vegetation on the macroinvertebrate community in shallow Baltic Sea land-uplift bays

    Författare :Joakim Hansen; Lena Kautsky; Erik Bonsdorff; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; lagoons; macrofauna; macrophytes; hydrophytes; charophytes; ecological succession; structural complexity; habitat complexity; habitat selection; species composition; biodiversity; stable isotopes; food web; Terrestrial; freshwater and marine ecology; Terrestrisk; limnisk och marin ekologi; Plant Ecology; växtekologi;

    Sammanfattning : Shallow sheltered Baltic Sea bays are ecologically important habitats that harbour a unique vegetation community and constitute vital reproduction areas for many coastal fish species. Knowledge about the invertebrate community in these bays is, however, limited. LÄS MER

  3. 33. Evolutionary Perspectives on Naidinae (Annelida, Clitellata, Naididae): Molecular and Morphological Revelations

    Författare :Ida Envall; Christer Erséus; Lena Gustavsson; Mari Källersjö; Endre Willassen; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Naididae; Naidinae; phylogenetics; molecular systematics; morphology; ultrastructure; Biology; Biologi; systematisk zoologi; Systematic Zoology;

    Sammanfattning : Naidinae is a group of tiny oligochaetous clitellates, common all over the world, primarily in freshwater. The taxon includes about 180 nominal species. LÄS MER

  4. 34. Babblers, Biogeography and Bayesian Reasoning

    Författare :Magnus Gelang; Per Ericson; Per Alström; Isabel Sanmartín Bastida; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Africa; Asia; Bayesian inference; biogeography; Cettidae; dispersal; extinction; Middle East; persistence; Sylvioidea; Sylviidae; Timaliidae; vicariance; Systematic Zoology; zoologisk systematik och evolutionsforskning;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, I try to proceed one step further towards an understanding of the biogeographic processes forming the distribution patterns of organisms that we see today. Babblers and warblers are diverse groups of passerines that are phylogenetically intermixed with other groups in the superfamily Sylvioidea. LÄS MER

  5. 35. Phylogeny and topological incongruence in the Rubioideae (Rubiaceae)

    Författare :Olle Thureborn; Catarina Rydin; Sylvain G. Razafimandimbison; Niklas Wikström; Michael D. Pirie; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Anthospermeae; cytonuclear discordance; gene trees; incomplete lineage sorting; incongruence; mitochondrial genome; nuclear genome; phylogenomics; phylogeny; plastid genome; Rubiaceae; Rubioideae; species trees; Plant Systematics; växtsystematik;

    Sammanfattning : The work with this thesis has focused on evolutionary relationships in the Rubioideae, the most species-rich subfamily of the large and diverse coffee family (Rubiaceae). Despite considerable efforts during the last decades, uncertainty regarding several relationships in this group has remained, either as a result of unconvincing statistic support, incongruent results, or insufficient taxon sampling.
