  1. 11. Effects of fine woody debris on juvenile brown trout (Salmo trutta) and drifting invertebrates

    Författare :Åsa Enefalk; Eva Bergman; Siân Griffiths; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; brown trout; juvenile; stream; woody debris; invertebrates; fine woody debris; Biology; Biologi;

    Sammanfattning : In boreal forest streams, woody debris is an important habitat component. Stream invertebrates and salmonids such as brown trout benefit from in-stream wood. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Mammalian Molecular Systematics with Emphasis on the Insectivore Order Lipotyphla

    Författare :Suzette Kay Mouchaty; Biologiska institutionen; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; rate heterogeneity; Thryonomys; Hystricognathi; Rodentia; Afrotheria; Echinops; Tenrecidae; Erinaceus; Erinaceidae; Chiroptera; Sorex; Soricidae; Talpa; Talpidae; Lipotyphla; Mammalia; mitochondrial DNA; molecular systematics; phylogeny; Genetics; cytogenetics; Genetik; cytogenetik;

    Sammanfattning : Insectivore classification has been one of the most controversial problems in mammalian systematics. Evolutionary relationships among the six extant families, Talpidae (moles), Soricidae (shrews), Erinaceidae (hedgehogs), Tenrecidae (tenrecs), Chryosochloridae (golden moles), and Solenodontidae (solenodons), have remained uncertain based on morphological data. 3. 13. Reticulate Evolution in Diphasiastrum (Lycopodiaceae)

    Författare :Sunniva Margrethe Due Aagaard; Niklas Wikström; Tom A. Ranker; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; admixture analysis; Bayesian clustering; Diphasiastrum; Feulgen DNA image densitometry; homoploid hybridization; Lycopodiaceae; phylogenetic analysis; polyploidy; reticulate evolution; Systematics and phylogenetics; Systematik och fylogeni; systematisk botanik; Systematic Botany;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis relationships and the occurrence of reticulate evolutionary events in the club moss genus Diphasiastrum are investigated. Diphasiastrum is initially established as a monophyletic group within Lycopodiaceae using non recombinant chloroplast sequence data. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Tubificids with trifid chaetae: morphology and phylogeny of Heterodrilus (Clitellata, Annelida)

    Författare :Erica Sjölin; Christer Erséus; Lena Gustavsson; Mari Källersjö; Katrine Worsaae; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Heterodrilus; phylogeny; morphology; Tubificidae; Systematics and phylogenetics; Systematik och fylogeni; Systematic Zoology; systematisk zoologi;

    Sammanfattning : Heterodrilus is a marine group of small (3-25 mm) clitellates that occur interstitially in sandy sediments from the intertidal zone down to about 150 m depths. The taxon includes 42 valid species and has been recorded from localities in the Mediterranean Sea, the North-west Atlantic Ocean (including the Caribbean), the Galapagos Islands, and the Indo-Pacific Region. 5. 15. Through the magnifying glass - The big small world of marine meiofauna : Morphology, species and evolution in Nemertodermatida

    Författare :Inga Meyer-Wachsmuth; Ulf Jondelius; Mark E Sidall; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Nemertodermatida; Acoelomorpha; morphology; CLSM; Phalloidin; musculature; DNA; cryptic species; species delimitation; dispersal; taxonomy; phylogenetics; IHC; nervous system; Systematic Zoology; zoologisk systematik och evolutionsforskning;

    Sammanfattning : Nemertodermatida is a group of microscopic marine worm-like animals that live as part of the marine meiofauna in sandy or muddy sediments; one species lives commensally in a holothurian. These benthic worms were thought to disperse passively with ocean currents, resulting in little speciation and thus wide or even cosmopolitan distributions. LÄS MER
