  1. 1. Cutaneous Human Papillomaviruses

    Författare :Kristina Hazard; Malmö Klinisk mikrobiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Microbiology; bacteriology; virology; mycology; Skin cancer; HPV heterogeneity; Persistence; Human Papillomavirus; Phylogeny; Mikrobiologi; bakteriologi; virologi; mykologi;

    Sammanfattning : Human papillomaviruses (HPVs) exist as more than 100 distinct types. Variants of HPVs appear to be common findings while HPV subtypes have been considered rare. New information about subtypes has recently been reported by us. LÄS MER

  2. 2. An Ontological Approach to Safety Analysis of Safety-Critical Systems

    Författare :Jiale Zhou; Kristina Lundqvist; Ibrahim Habli; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; hazard analysis; ontologies; safety-critical systems; safety requirements elicitation; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Safety-critical systems (SCSs) have become an intrinsic part of human dailylife in multiple domains, such as automotive, avionics, and rail industries. Such systems are not only required to implement the functionality they should provide, but also have to satisfy a set of safety requirements in order to ensure the mitigation of hazardous consequences. 3. 3. Individual health, neighborhood characteristics, and allocation of primary health care resources

    Författare :Kristina Sundquist; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Aims: To examine whether neighborhood education and neighborhood income predict incidence rates of coronary heart disease (CHD), beyond individual characteristics (study 1); to examine whether neighborhood deprivation, measured with Care Need Index (CNI), predicts CHD incidence rates, beyond individual characteristics (study 2); to examine whether low scores in a social participation index predict CHD incidence rates, after adjustment for individual characteristics (study 3); and to examine the relationship between CNI and poor self-reported health at neighborhood level, to examine whether the transformed CNI can be used for a total allocation of primary health care resources and to compare the transformed CNI with the official Stockholm model (study 4). Methods: In study 1 25,319 individuals between 1986 and 1993 from the Swedish Annual Level of Living Survey (SALLS) were followed until December 31, 1997, for CHD incidence events. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Caught in the Maelstrom, Catching the Tide : Micro-level Responses to Climate-Related Hazards and Conflict

    Författare :Kristina Petrova; Hanne Fjelde; Nina von Uexkull; Gabriele Spilker; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; natural hazards; climate-related disasters; armed conflict; electoral violence; protests; riots; communal conflict; state institutions; disaster relief aid; climate mobilities; internal and international migration; Sub-Saharan Africa; Bangladesh; Pakistan.;

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation contributes to the literature on the nexus between climate-related disaster and conflict. One of the main sources of uncertainty regarding the effects of climate change on conflict stems from limited understanding of the driving mechanisms and the political contexts under which these effects materialize. 5. 5. Mining induced seismicity in Sweden

    Författare :Kristina Larsson; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Mining and Rock Engineering; Gruv- och Berganläggningsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The virgin stress state in the rock mass is disturbed by mining, which leads to locally increased or decreased stresses. The rock mass in Sweden is generally composed of high strength brittle rock types, so the risk of seismicity and rockbursts (violent failures) increase with increasing depth of mining due to increasing stress levels.
