However, the effect of antioxidant supplementation on white and brown adipose tissue functionality is understudied, and the role of ROS and/or antioxidant treatment during adipose tissue browning, a process in which the adipocytes’ mitochondrial density and activity increase, is largely unknown. Sammanfattning : This thesis aimed to define the role of reactive oxygen species (ROS), produced by the NADPH oxidase of myeloid cells, in the regulation of lymphocyte function with focus on ROS-induced dysfunction of natural killer (NK) cells and T lymphocytes in myeloid leukemia.
