  1. 26. Performance determinants and classification in paracanoe

    Författare :Johanna Rosén; Anna Bjerkefors; Anton Arndt; Vicky Tolfrey; Carl Payton; Gymnastik- och idrottshögskolan; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; canoe; outrigger; para sport; disability; impairment; Paralympics; kinematics; kinetics; Medicin Teknik; Medicine Technology;

    Sammanfattning : Valid classification systems are vital for Paralympic sports in order to minimise the impact of impairment on sports performance. To achieve valid classification, each Paralympic sport must develop evidence-based classification systems by examining the impact of impairment on key performance determinants. LÄS MER

  2. 27. Biomechanical assessment of head and neck movements in neck pain using 3D movement analysis

    Författare :Helena Grip; Gertjan Ettema; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :movement analysis; kinematics; helical axis; neck pain; whiplash; cervical spine; pattern classification; motor control; head-eye co-ordination; head movement; biomedicinsk strålningsvetenskap; Biomedical Radiation Science;

    Sammanfattning : Three-dimensional movement analysis was used to evaluate head and neck movement in patients with neck pain and matched controls. The aims were to further develop biomechanical models of head and neck kinematics, to investigate differences between subjects with non-specific neck pain and whiplash associated disorders (WAD), and to evaluate the potential of objective movement analysis as a decision support during diagnosis and follow-up of patients with neck pain. 3. 28. Gait and motion analysis of hip arthroplasty. Validity, reliability and longterm results

    Författare :Roland Zügner; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Gait analysis; Hip arthroplasty; Kinematics; Radiostereometric analysis; Hip osteoarthritis;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction: Walking is one of the most fundamental activities of daily living in humans, when the hip joints transfer power between the lower extremities and the pelvis. Hip osteoarthritis (OA) will more or less influence this function and is increasing in an ageing population. LÄS MER

  4. 29. Double Poling Incross-Country Skiing : Biomechanical and Physiological Analysis of Sitting and Standing Positions

    Författare :Marie Lund Ohlsson; Marko Laaksonen; Jonas Danvind; L. Joakim Holmberg; Anders Eriksson; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; blood lactate concentration; cross-country sit-skiing; impairment; internal kinetics; inverse dynamics simulations; joint reaction forces; kinematics; metabolic rate; musculoskeletal modelling; musculoskeletal efficiency; nordic skiing; oxygen uptake; para-skiing; respiration; skiing efficiency.;

    Sammanfattning : Double poling (DP) is a sub-technique in cross-country skiing that has increased in interest over the last decades, e.g. athletes in cross-country skiing have increased their utilisation of double poling during competitions. LÄS MER

  5. 30. Sensorimotor function following anterior cruciate ligament injury : movement control, proprioception and neuropsychological perspectives

    Författare :Adam Grinberg; Charlotte Häger; Martin Björklund; Dario G. Liebermann; Clare Ardern; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; ACL; knee injury; sensorimotor control; proprioception; functional test; fear; anxiety; kinematics; electromyography; EMG; electroencephalography; EEG; brain; neuroplasticity; injury prevention; Sports Medicine; idrottsmedicin;

    Sammanfattning : Background: The high incidence of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries in sports suggests an involvement of both biomechanical and neurocognitive risk factors. Athletes are constantly exposed to challenging sports scenarios, which are often characterised by high-intensity movements combined with a multi-stimuli environment and continuous psychological pressure.
