11. Head kinematics in car–pedestrian crashes: The influence of sliding, spine bending, elbow and shoulder impacts
Sammanfattning : In vehicle–pedestrian crashes, head injuries account for an overwhelming percentage of all severe and fatal injuries. These injuries are caused by the linear acceleration and rotation of the head. To mitigate head injuries, tools such as Human Body Models (HBMs) are used in the development and evaluation of pedestrian safety systems. LÄS MER
12. Anterior cruciate ligament injury. Results after reconstruction in terms of function, postoperative pain and kinematics
Sammanfattning : The aim of this study was to evaluate the functional and objective outcome after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using bone-patellar tendon-bone grafts. Other main objectives were to evaluate postoperative pain, pain reduction and knee kinematics after anterior cruciate ligament injury and reconstruction. LÄS MER
13. Knee joint kinematics, fixation and function related to joint area design in total knee arthroplasty
Sammanfattning : The aim was to study the influence of different designs of the joint area on tibial component fixation, kinematics and clinical outcome after a cemented total knee arthroplasty (TKA). The HSS score and a special questionnaire were used at the clinical examination. LÄS MER
14. Stellar kinematics in surveys and simulations
Sammanfattning : We study stellar motions in the Milky Way with N-body simulations and large astrometric samples from ESA's Gaia mission. We identify two kinematic populations for white dwarfs in the Solar neighbourhood. We also investigate the accreted halo and reveal two new structures. LÄS MER
15. Kinematics and laxity in the knee, before and after Anterior Cruciate Ligament reconstruction. Evaluation using dynamic and static radiostereometric analysis
Sammanfattning : Introduction: Whether full active and passive extension training, started immediately after an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) reconstruction, will increase the post-operative A-P laxity of the knee has been the subject of discussion. For many years, many protocols have included full extension with full weight bearing after an ACL reconstruction. LÄS MER
