  1. 11. Psychosocial adjustment problems : Individual and acculturation differences

    Författare :Marie Väfors Fritz; Britt af Klinteberg; Andries Korebrits; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; personality; antisocial behavior; violence; alcohol; culture; socialization; acculturation; Psychology; Psykologi; psykologi; Psychology;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses individual and environmental risk factors in the development of adjustment problems and antisocial behaviour. 2. 12. Tissue transglutaminase autoantibodies in childhood celiac disease

    Författare :Daniel Agardh; Pediatrisk endokrinologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Immunologi; serologi; Medicine human and vertebrates ; Medicin människa och djur ; Immunology; serology; transplantation; villous atrophy; T cells; serological marker; screening; intestinal mucosa; children; celiac disease; CD25; CD8; CD4; autoantibodies; B cells; gluten-free diet; autoimmunity;

    Sammanfattning : Celiac disease is a prevalent small bowel disease in children caused by permanent intolerance against gliadin, which is the alcohol-soluble fraction of the cereal protein gluten in wheat, rye and barley. Celiac disease is characterized by an inflammatory infiltrate of CD4+ T lymphocytes in the intestinal mucosa leading to damage of villous structure and loss of absorptive surface. LÄS MER

  3. 13. An Alkaline Active Cyclodextrin Glycosyltransferase from an Alkaliphilic Bacillus agaradhaerens

    Författare :Rita Martins; Bioteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; cloning; characterization; purification; 16S rRNA gene analysis; screening; alkaliphiles; soda lakes; Bacillus agaradhaerens; cyclodextrins; cyclodextrin glycosyltransferase; alpha-amylase family; sequencing; immobilization; Biotechnology; Bioteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Soda lakes represent the most stable naturally-occurring alkaline environments on Earth and harbour a diverse population of alkaliphiles. Alkaliphilic microorganisms have attracted a great interest due to their ability to produce extracellular enzymes that are active and stable at high pH values. LÄS MER

  4. 14. NOx reduction with dimethyl ether in lean exhaust

    Författare :Sara U Erkfeldt; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NOx storage; Dimethyl ether; ether; hydrocarbon-SCR; lean NOx reduction; alcohol; Cu-ZSM-5; lean NOx trap; alkane; alternative fuel;

    Sammanfattning : There is a growing concern worldwide about the increase in anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions, particularly carbon dioxide (CO2) from the combustion of fossil fuels. Vehicles with internal combustion engines contribute significantly to these emissions, which has led to an increased demand for engines running on alternative (non-fossil) fuels. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Biomarkers and risk of intracerebral hemorrhage : population-based studies in northern Sweden

    Författare :Kristina Johansson; Marcus Lind; Lars Johansson; Jan-Håkan Jansson; Arne Lindgren; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Intracerebral hemorrhage; hemorrhagic stroke; factor XII; D-dimer; von Willebrand factor; ABO blood groups; phosphatidylethanol; alcohol; risk markers; biomarkers; Medicine; medicin;

    Sammanfattning : BackgroundIntracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is a disease associated with a high morbidity and mortality and treatment options for the condition are limited. Even though an ICH event usually comes as a surprise to the affected individual, pathogenetic processes often have occurred before the sudden ICH event and may have preceded disease onset by years.
