  1. 1. The expression and function of CD25 B cells in man and in mice

    Författare :Amu Sylvie; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2008]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; B cell; CD25; rheumatoid arthritis; systemic lupus erythematosus; mice;

    Sammanfattning : B cells play an important role both in the physiology and pathology of immune responses by production of antibodies, cytokines and by presentation of antigens. It has been shown that human CD25 expressing B cells display a mature phenotype, perform better as antigen presenting cells but secrete less immunoglobulins. LÄS MER

  2. 2. T Regulatory Cells – Friends or Foes?

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Camilla Lindqvist; Uppsala universitet.; [2010]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Treg; T regulatory cell; FoxP3; CD25; CLL; B-cell lymphoma; MEDICINE Microbiology; immunology; infectious diseases Immunology Clinical immunology; MEDICIN Mikrobiologi; immunologi; infektionssjukdomar Immunologi Klinisk immunologi; Klinisk immunologi; Clinical Immunology;

    Sammanfattning : T regulatory cells (Tregs) have been extensively studied in patients with cancer or autoimmunity. These cells hamper the immune system’s ability to clear tumor cells in cancer patients. In autoimmune diseases, on the other hand, they are not able to restrain autoreactive immune responses. 3. 3. Affibody molecules for proteomic and therapeutic applications

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : KTH

    Författare :Caroline Grönwall; KTH.; [2008]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Affibody; protein engineering; phage display; amyloid beta peptide; transferrin; CD25; IL-2 receptor; proteomics; TECHNOLOGY Bioengineering; TEKNIKVETENSKAP Bioteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes generation and characterization of Affibody molecules with future applications in proteomics research, protein structure determinations, therapeutic treatment of disease and medical imaging for in vivo diagnostics. Affibody molecules are engineered affinity proteins developed by combinatorial protein engineering from the 58-residue protein A-derived Z domain scaffold. LÄS MER

  4. 4. T cells in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

    Detta är en avhandling från Umeå : Umeå university

    Författare :Ester Roos-Engstrand; Umeå universitet.; [2010]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; airway epithelium; bronchoscopy; bronchoalveolar lavage; endobronchial mucosal biopsies; inflammation; flow cytometry; T lymphocytes; CD25; CD127; FoxP3; MEDICINE Dermatology and venerology; clinical genetics; internal medicine Internal medicine Lung diseases; MEDICIN Dermatologi och venerologi; klinisk genetik; invärtesmedicin Invärtesmedicin Lungsjukdomar; lungmedicin; Lung Medicine;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Tobacco smoking is the main cause of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, COPD, but the mechanisms by which cigarette smoke induces COPD are still elusive. T lymphocytes have been implicated in the pathogenesis of the disease, but their role in the airway inflammation in COPD is not fully understood. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Popular Abstract in Swedish Bakgrund - Glutenintolerans (celiaki) är en vanlig kronisk tunntarmssjukdom som drabbar 1% av befolkningen och beror på att man inte tål ämnet gluten som förekommer i vete, korn och råg. Celiaki är delvis ärftligt och förekommer i alla åldrar, men upptäcks framför allt hos barn. LÄS MER
