  1. 1. T-cell responses to Helicobacter pylori in humans and a possible role of regulatory T cells

    Författare :Anna Lundgren; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2004]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Helicobacter pylori; mucosal immunology; stomach; duodenum; asymptomatic; duodenal ulcer; gastric adenocarcinoma; T cells; regulatory T cells; dendritic cells; T-cell recruitment;

    Sammanfattning : Helicobacter pylori colonize the stomach and areas of gastric metaplasia in the duodenum. The bacteria induce both local and systemic immune responses, but despite this, the infection normally persists for life and causes chronic gastritis in all infected subjects and peptic ulcers or gastric cancer in 10-20% of infected individuals. 2. 2. T Cell recruitment in human Helicobacter pylori associated diseases

    Detta är en avhandling från Göteborgs universitet

    Författare :Karin Enarsson; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2005]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection is associated with pronounced infiltration of granulocytes and lymphocytes into the gastric mucosa, resulting in active chronic gastritis that may develop into duodenal ulcer disease or gastric adenocarcinoma (GC). Infiltrating T cells play a major role in the pathology of these diseases, but the signals involved in recruitment of T cells from blood to H. LÄS MER

  3. 3. EFFECTOR T CELL HOMING TO THE SMALL INTESTINAL MUCOSA

    Detta är en avhandling från Section for Immunology, Lund University

    Författare :Hanna Stenstad; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2007]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; transplantation; Immunologi; Immunology; serology; homing; intestine; GALT; chemokine receptor; lymphocyte; serologi;

    Sammanfattning : Popular Abstract in Swedish Ett väl fungerande immunförsvar har kapaciteten att särskilja och oskadliggöra en ofantlig mängd sjukdomsframkallande ämnen och organismer. Immunförsvarets förmåga att skilja strukturer på främmande ämnen från våra egna strukturer i kroppen är viktig, eftersom försvaret annars kan angripa kroppens egna vävnader. LÄS MER

  4. 4. T Cell Ontogeny and Effector Functions in Galphai2-deficient Colitis

    Detta är en avhandling från Section for Immunology, Lund University

    Författare :Malin Bjursten; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2005]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; colitis; T cells; Galphai2- - mice; thymus; pro-inflammatory cytokines; alpha4 integrin;

    Sammanfattning : Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) comprising Crohn s disease and ulcerative colitis is a disease that affects millions of people worldwide, especially in northern countries such as Sweden, and is characterised by chronic uncontrolled inflammation of the intestinal mucosa. It is the general belief that multiple factors such as genetic and environmental aspects are involved in disease pathogenesis. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Regulation of T cell effector functions in the intestinal mucosa

    Detta är en avhandling från Immunology

    Författare :Petra Holmkvist; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2014]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; T cells; memory; intestine; cytokines; differentiation; IL-18; inflammation; antigen presentation;

    Sammanfattning : T lymphocytes are a critical cellular component of the adaptive immune response. They are generated in the thymus from bone marrow derived progenitors, where they undergo commitment to the T cell lineage and differentiate and mature into naïve CD4+ and CD8+ T cells. LÄS MER
