  1. 21. När realismen blir orealistisk : Litteraturens "sanna historier" och unga läsares tolkningsstrategier

    Författare :Annette Årheim; Margareta Petersson; Lars Gustaf Andersson; Växjö universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; literature teaching; upper secondary school; faction literature; intermediality; reception; interpretation; paratext; text; visual media; realism; documentarism; reality trend; knowledge; truth; reality; Literature; Litteraturvetenskap; Comparative Literature Education; Litteraturvetenskap – didaktisk inriktning;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis discusses challenges to teaching and learning literature arising from young upper secondary school students’ interest in and reading of contemporary literature with truth claims. The main starting-point is that something central happens to text interpretation since visual media are taking control of the understanding of the realism concept. LÄS MER

  2. 22. In Your Face! – Designing Future Interaction Models for Internet of Things and Augmented Reality

    Författare :Günter Alce; Ergonomi och aerosolteknologi; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Internet of Things; Augmented Reality; Wearables; Virtual Reality; Prototyping; User interface;

    Sammanfattning : It is estimated that the number of devices connected to the Internet will be 50 billion by 2020. How should a not-so-tech-savvy end user be able to discover and directly interact with a myriad of connected things in an intuitive and comfortable manner? Up until now, smartphones have shown potential for managing the Internet of Things (IoT) environments, but we cannot rely on that technology. LÄS MER

  3. 23. From Conceptual Links to Causal Relations — Physical-Virtual Artefacts in Mixed-Reality Space

    Författare :Thomas Pederson; Lars-Erik Janlert; William Buxton; Umeå universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a set of concepts and a general design approach for designing Mixed Reality environments based on the idea that the physical (real) world and the virtual (digital) world are equally important and share many properties. Focus is on the design of a technology infrastructure intended to relieve people from some of the extra efforts currently needed when performing activities that make heavy use of both worlds. 4. 24. Bringing Augmented Reality to Mobile Phones

    Författare :Anders Henrysson; Anders Ynnerman; Kari Pulli; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mobile Phone; Augmented Reality; HCI; Ubiquitous Computing; 3D Interaction; Computer Vision; Image analysis; Bildanalys;

    Sammanfattning : With its mixing of real and virtual, Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that has attracted lots of attention from the science community and is seen as a perfect way to visualize context-related information. Computer generated graphics is presented to the user overlaid and registered with the real world and hence augmenting it. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Convergence in mixed reality-virtuality environments : facilitating natural user behavior

    Författare :Daniel Johansson; Leo J. de Vin; Morten Fjeld; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mixed reality. augmented reality; augmented virtuality; head mounted display; omnidirectional floor; natural interface; telepresence; Datalogi; Computer and Systems Science;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses the subject of converging real and virtual environments to a combined entity that can facilitate physiologically complying interfaces for the purpose of training. Based on the mobility and physiological demands of dismounted soldiers, the base assumption is that greater immersion means better learning and potentially higher training transfer. LÄS MER
