    Sammanfattning : Listen. If I ask you to listen, what is it that I ask of you—that you will understand, or perhaps obey? Or is it some sort of readiness that is requested? What occurs with a body in the act of listening? How do sound and voice structure audio-visual-spatial relations in concrete situations?This doctoral thesis in fine arts consists of six artworks and an essay that documents the research process, or rather, acts as a travelogue as it stages and narrates a series of journeys into a predominantly sonic ecology.     Sammanfattning : Today there is an increasing clinical demand and expectation of patients for biomaterials, which underscores the importance of discovering the correlations between biomaterials and biological systems, especially blood. When an artificial material makes contact with blood, the first event is a rapid adsorption of plasma protein on the material surface, on top of which the innate immune system is triggered, with potentially detrimental consequences.     Sammanfattning : For a successful pregnancy, the maternal immune system must acquire tolerance towards the paternal antigens present in the semi-allogeneic foetus. This tolerance is mainly established locally at the foetal-maternal interface, where foetally-derived trophoblasts invade the maternal endometrium (called decidua during pregnancy) and come in close proximity to maternal immune cells.     Sammanfattning : De av människan påverkade globala klimatutmaningarna ställer krav på förändrade förhållningssätt och åtgärder inom alla sektorer och samhällsnivåer. Internationella klimatmål och -åtaganden behöver kompletteras med aktiviteter och åtgärder på såväl nationell som lokal nivå som styr stads- och samhällsutvecklingen i en mer klimatmässigt hållbar riktning, vilket i hög grad påverkas av vår användning av energi.
