  1. 1. Obstacle Problems for Green Potentials and for Parabolic Quasiminima

    Författare :Catarina Petersson; Matematik (naturvetenskapliga fakulteten); []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Functions; differential equations; Funktioner; differentialekvationer; Matematik; degenerate parabolic operators; Mathematics; quasiminima; obstacle problems; Green potentials;

    Sammanfattning : The thesis consists of two parts. In the first part pure potential theoretic methods are employed to study the obstacle problem connected with a uniformly elliptic second-order differential operator in divergence form. Regular points of the obstacles are characterized by the classical Wiener criterion. LÄS MER

  2. 2. A Browning process : The case of Dar es Salaam city

    Författare :Othmar Simtali Mng'ong'o; Lars Orrskog; Kjell Nilsson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Social sciences; green plant; green structure; browining process; ecological area; sustainable city; living environment; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : The study is about how green spaces and structures of Dar es Salaam city, quantitatively and qualitatively, are browning out. It also tries to explore the different reasons behind the browning tendency, and what it means to the function of the city and to the daily form of life of the inhabitants. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Assessment of Eco-Labelling and Green Procurement from a Strategic Sustainability Perspective

    Författare :Cecilia Bratt; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Strategic Sustainability Perspective; Sustainable Consumption and Production; Eco-labelling; Green Procurement; Criteria Development Process; Product-Service Innovation.;

    Sammanfattning : Efforts to reduce negative impacts from consumption and production include voluntary market-based initiatives. Examples are the concept of eco-labelling and the concept of green procurement. These have emerged as policy instruments with great potentials to steer product innovation and purchasing decisions in a sustainable direction. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Application of Chemical Additives in Minerals Beneficiation – Implications on Grinding and Flotation Performance

    Författare :Vitalis Chipakwe; Saeed Chehreh Chelgani; Jan Rosenkranz; Tommy Karlkvist; Irina Chernyshova; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy; Grinding aid; Flowability; Dry grinding; FT4 Powder Rheometer; Surface properties; Rheology; Flotation; Polymers; Surface chemistry; Green Chemistry; Mineral Processing; Mineral Processing; Mineralteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The application of chemical additives, known as grinding aids (GAs), dates to 1930 in the cement industry. Unlike the cement industry, where the use of GAs is in the final processing step, it could be one of the first processing steps in ore beneficiation. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Purchasing practices of environmentally preferable transport services, Guidance to increased shipper considerations

    Författare :Maria Björklund; Teknisk logistik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Technological sciences; Industriell ekonomi; Commercial and industrial economics; Shippers perspective; Logistics Management; Transport services; Green Purchasing; Purchasing; Environment; Teknik; Environmental technology; pollution control; Miljöteknik; kontroll av utsläpp; TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : The logistical activity of transport is one of the largest contributors to several environmental problems. One efficient and effective way to decrease the environmental impact from transports is to implement changes in the logistically related strategies and activities applied, such as the selection of transport suppliers.
