1. Comparative Study of Chemical Additives Effects on Dry Grinding Performance
Sammanfattning : The application of chemical additives, known as grinding aids (GA), dates back to 1930 in the cement industry. As opposed to the cement industry, where the use of GAs is on the final processing step, it could be one of the first process steps in ore beneficiation. LÄS MER
2. Application of Chemical Additives in Minerals Beneficiation – Implications on Grinding and Flotation Performance
Sammanfattning : The application of chemical additives, known as grinding aids (GAs), dates to 1930 in the cement industry. Unlike the cement industry, where the use of GAs is in the final processing step, it could be one of the first processing steps in ore beneficiation. LÄS MER
3. Slurry rheology of limestone and its effects on wet ultra-fine grinding
Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates rheology of limestone slurries and its effects on wet ultra-fine grinding in order to reduce energy cost and increase the throughput and the product fineness. The influences of solids concentration, molecular weight of a dispersant, particle size and distribution, and temperature on the rheological behaviours of limestone slurries have been investigated with rotational and cone-plate viscometers. 4. Charge dynamics in tumbling mills : simulation and measurements with an in-mill sensor
Sammanfattning : Grinding is a process of reducing the particle size distribution of an extracted ore commonly performed in tumbling mills. The process is complex with many factors affecting the result, predominately the ores physical and chemical properties. LÄS MER
5. Microengineered CVD Diamond Surfaces : Tribology and Applications
Sammanfattning : Recent developments in thin film synthesis of diamond have facilitated a host of new technical applications. These are motivated by the many attractive properties of diamond, for example high hardness, chemical inertness, transparency and heat conductivity. Unfortunately, these properties also make it difficult to fashion complex geometries. LÄS MER
