  1. 16. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation : Pharmacological Interventions for Augmentation of Cerebral Blood Flow

    Författare :Jakob Johansson; Sten Rubertsson; Rolf Gedeborg; Sven-Erik Gisvold; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Anaesthesiology and intensive care; Adrenaline epinephrine ; Cardiac arrest; Cardiopulmonary resuscitation; Cerebral blood flow; Guidelines; Post-resuscitation period; Vasopressin; Anestesiologi och intensivvård; Anaesthetics and intensive care; Anestesiologi och intensivvård;

    Sammanfattning : Cardiac arrest results in immediate interruption of blood flow. The primary goal of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is to re-establish blood flow and hence oxygen delivery to the vital organs. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Function of granulocytes after burns and trauma, associations with pulmonary vascular permeability, acute respiratory distress syndrome, and immunomodulation

    Författare :Joakim Johansson; Folke Sjöberg; Lennart Lindbom; Sven-Erik Ricksten; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :ARDS; azurocidin; burn; CAP-37; critical care; granulocyte; HBP; histamine; intensive care; leucocyte; leukocyte; mediator; methylhistamine; MOF; oedema; neutrophil; permeability; PMN; trauma; vascular permeability;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Our innate immunesystem protects us from infections but, since its methods is not all specific for microorganisms, may also induce collateral damage.Severe physical injury often proved deadly throughout evolution. Such injuries may induce massive collateral damage. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Autonomous Systems in Society and War : Philosophical Inquiries

    Författare :Linda Johansson; Sven Ove Hansson; Philip Brey; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; UAVs; drones; military robots; laws of war; justification for killing; ethics of care; care robots; functional morality; moral responsibility; Moral Turing Test; robot morality; artificial agent; artificial agency; autonomy; norms; disruptive technology; co-evolution; scenarios; autonomous systems; security; decision guidance; technology assessment;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis is to look at some philosophical issues surrounding autonomous systems in society and war. These issues can be divided into three main categories. The first, discussed in papers I and II, concerns ethical issues surrounding the use of autonomous systems – where the focus in this thesis is on military robots. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Robots and Moral Agency

    Författare :Linda Johansson; Sven Ove Hansson; Björn Petersson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; machine ethics; UAV; laws of war; robot morality; moral agency; Moral; Turning Test; Philosophy subjects; Filosofiämnen;

    Sammanfattning :   Machine ethics is a field of applied ethics that has grown rapidly in the last decade. Increasingly advanced autonomous robots have expanded the focus of machine ethics from issues regarding the ethical development and use of technology by humans to a focus on ethical dimensions of the machines themselves. 5. 20. Artificial Ground Freezingin Clayey Soils : Laboratory and Field Studies of Deformations During Thawing at the Bothnia Line

    Författare :Teddy Johansson; Staffan Hintze; Håkan Stille; Sven Knutsson; Kauko Kujala; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Artificial ground freezing; AGF; thaw deformation; deformation; thawing; frost heaving; Bothnia Line.; Artificiell markfrysning; artificiell jord- och bergfrysning; AGF; tiningsdeformation; deformation; tining; tjälhävning; Botniabanan; Geoengineering; Geoteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Artificial ground freezing as a method to temporarily stabilize and create hydraulic sealing in urban as well as in rural areas has been used in a number of Swedish construction projects, particularly during the last decade. One problem with the freezing of soil and rock is that fine-grained clayey types of soils have showed a tendency to under certain circumstances, during the thawing process, create a pore water overpressure and to consolidate, despite a change in the external loading conditions.
