1. Expressing and recognizing intentions
Sammanfattning : With the advancement of Artificial Intelligence, intelligent computer programs known as agents are coming increasingly close to the life of human beings. In an optimistic view, predictions tell us that agents will be governing many machines such as phones, robots and cars. LÄS MER

3. Artificial Ground Freezingin Clayey Soils : Laboratory and Field Studies of Deformations During Thawing at the Bothnia Line
Sammanfattning : Artificial ground freezing as a method to temporarily stabilize and create hydraulic sealing in urban as well as in rural areas has been used in a number of Swedish construction projects, particularly during the last decade. One problem with the freezing of soil and rock is that fine-grained clayey types of soils have showed a tendency to under certain circumstances, during the thawing process, create a pore water overpressure and to consolidate, despite a change in the external loading conditions. 4. Affective Decision Making in Artificial Intelligence : Making Virtual Characters With High Believability
Sammanfattning : Artificial intelligence is often used when creating believable virtual characters in games or in other types of virtual environments. The intelligent behavior these characters show to the player is often flawed, leading to a worse gameplay experience. LÄS MER
5. On Coordination in Multi-agent Systems
Sammanfattning : Agent technology enables the designers of computer based systems to construct software agents that are able to model attitudes. We present a frame-work in which these artifacts aim to express the preferences of both their designers and their owners. LÄS MER
