22. Unsaturated Solute Transport in a Semiarid Catchment - Nonlinear Analyses and Modelling
Sammanfattning : Unsaturated solute transport is highly variable and therefore difficult to predict. In semi-arid areas, where water resources are limited, the presence of macropores is of great importance for crop production. The bromide ion (Br-) and dye tracers are useful for studies of water movement. LÄS MER
23. Cooperative Reactive Sites in Designed Helix-Loop-Helix Polypeptide Catalysts
Sammanfattning : Designed polypeptides, which fold into helix-loop-helix motifs and dimerise to four-helix bundles have been used as scaffolds for the introduction of catalytic activity for the hydrolysis of p-nitrophenyl esters. The reactive sites were based on the reactivity of histidine, and two His residues separated by four residues in the sequence was shown to be the minimal reactive site for the efficient hydrolysis of nitrophenyl esters.
