  2. 2. Transformation/dissolution characteristics of cobalt and welding fume nanoparticles in physiological and environmental media: surface interactions and trophic transfer

    Författare :Nanxuan Mei; Eva Blomberg; Inger Odnevall Wallinder; Jonas Hedberg; Iseult Lynch; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :nanoparticles; cobalt; stainless steel welding fume particles; biomolecules; metal release; trophic transfer; adsorption; agglomeration; algae; nanopartiklar; kobolt; rostfritt stål svetsrök partiklar; biomolekyler; metallfrigöring; trofisk överföring; adsorption; agglomerering; alger; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Nanoparticles (NPs) and nanomaterials (NMs) are present everywhere in the environment. They can form both as an act of nature and during human activities. Various kinds of NPs and NMs are engineered for different applications in the ongoing development of nanoscience and technology. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Robot Sound in Interaction : Analyzing and Designing Sound for Human-Robot Coordination

    Författare :Hannah Pelikan; Leelo Keevallik; Mathias Broth; Christian Licoppe; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Conversation analysis; Ethnomethodology; Human-robot interaction; Interaction design; Multimodality; Non-lexical sounds; Robot sound; Video analysis; Etnometodologi; Icke-lexikala ljud; Interaktionsanalys; Interaktionsdesign; Multimodalitet; Människa-robotinteraktion; Robotljud; Videoanalys;

    Sammanfattning : Robots naturally emit sound, but we still know little about how sound can serve as an interface that makes a robot’s behavior explainable to humans. This dissertation draws on insights about human practices for coordinating bodily activities through sound, investigating how they could inform robot design. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Generative models for action generation and action understanding

    Författare :Judith Bütepage; Danica Kragic; Ivan Laptev; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Computer Science; Datalogi;

    Sammanfattning : The question of how to build intelligent machines raises the question of how to rep-resent the world to enable intelligent behavior. In nature, this representation relies onthe interplay between an organism’s sensory input and motor input. Action-perceptionloops allow many complex behaviors to arise naturally. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Modeling and Diagnosis of Friction and Wear in Industrial Robots

    Författare :André Carvalho Bittencourt; Svante Gunnarsson; Mikael Norrlöf; Andrew Starr; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : High availability and low operational costs are critical for industrial systems. While industrial equipments are designed to endure several years of uninterrupted operation, their behavior and performance will eventually deteriorate over time. LÄS MER
