    Sammanfattning : Therapeutic jurisprudence (TJ) sees the law as a social force with the underlying idea that legal procedures should promote the psychological well-being (PWB) of individuals involved in juridical actions; for example, individual police interviewers could act as therapeutic agents. Investigative interviewing is guided by a truth-seeking and ethical framework; in this view, rapport is an important component for gaining trust and effective communication. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The over-arching aim of this doctoral thesis is to describe, analyze, theorize and problematize how the Swedish police interrogate children and youth suspected of committing the crime of homicide. This thesis will therefore focus on the investigative interview practices with children below the age of criminal responsibility, who cannot be prosecuted, as well as youth, who have reached the age of criminal responsibility and can thus be prosecuted, and, if found guilty, sentenced.     Sammanfattning : The present thesis involves a process evaluation of what occurred in the treat¬ment of seven young patients in institutional care diagnosed with schizophrenia: what happened in the encounters between staff and patients in a ward environ¬ment designed to provide constant care, and what facilitated or hindered rehabili¬tation efforts. The aim of the process presentation was to portray the treatment process, using a descriptive approach, in terms of the interaction between staff and the ward environment and of the individual psychotherapies.
