    Sammanfattning : This thesis studies the uses of the concept of revolution in Swedish socialist press from 1917 to 1924. Political revolution and civil wars shook several countries. The Russian February and October Revolutions were soon followed by uprisings in countries such as Germany and Finland. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Property Maintenance : Concepts and determinants

    Författare :Henry Muyingo; Hans Lind; Göran Lindahl; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Housing maintenance; property management; real estate; housing companies;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction Strategic property management aims at balancing the question of how the needed space is to be secured, maintained, increased or disposed of in a cost effective manner under a mixture of decisions and actions. In recent years, the interest in building maintenance has increased as more and more of the housing stock built after the Second World War is in need of major renovation. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Modeling of inorganic ions in aqueous solution

    Författare :Vidar Aspelin; Beräkningskemi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; molekylsimulering; statistisk mekanik; termodynamik; oorganiska joner; vattenlösningar; Kirkwood-Buff-teori; beräkningar av fri energi; molecular simulation; statistical mechanics; thermodynamics; inorganic ions; aqueous solutions; Kirkwood-Buff theory; free energy calculations;

    Sammanfattning : Essentially all chemical processes and reactions occurring in the environment take place in the presence of ions. In water, ions set the conditions for how other dissolved particles interact. Ions are also directly involved in chemical reactions affecting the climate such as ozone depletion. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Structure and Dynamics in Liquid Battery Electrolytes

    Författare :Gustav Åvall; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The introduction of Sony’s rechargeable lithium-ion battery in 1991 sparked a transformation of our everyday life, enabling wide-spread use of portable electronics, such as smartphones and laptops. Furthermore, in recent years the increased usage of electrical vehicles and the on-going change to transient renewable energy sources has created a large interest in cheaper, safer, more sustainable, long-lasting and energy denser batteries. 5. 5. Get a grip on chaos : Tailored measures for complex systems on surfaces

    Författare :Sascha Firle; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Quantum chemistry; complex systems; chaos; predator prey; movement models; functional response; spatial heterogeneity; topological dynamics; braid template; homoclinic bifurcations; Kvantkemi; Quantum chemistry; Kvantkemi; Quantum Chemistry; kvantkemi;

    Sammanfattning : Complex systems are ubiquitous in physics, biology and mathematics. This thesis is concerned with describing and understanding complex systems. Some new concepts about how large systems can be viewed in a lower dimensional framework are proposed. The systems presented are examples from ecology and chemistry. LÄS MER
