1. Increasing Autonomy of Unmanned Aircraft Systems Through the Use of Imaging Sensors
Sammanfattning : The range of missions performed by Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) has been steadily growing in the past decades thanks to continued development in several disciplines. The goal of increasing the autonomy of UAS's is widening the range of tasks which can be carried out without, or with minimal, external help. LÄS MER
2. Genotyping and Mutation Detection In Situ : Development and application of single-molecule techniques
Sammanfattning : The human body is composed of trillions of cells closely working together to maintain a functional organism. Every cell is unique in molecular composition and can acquire genetic variations that might cause it to turn pathological. LÄS MER
3. Human Detection and Tracking with UWB radar
Sammanfattning : As robots and automated machineries are increasingly replacing the manual operations, protecting humans who are working in collaboration with these machines is becoming an increasingly important task. Technologies such as cameras, infra-red and seismic sensors as well as radar systems are used for presence detection and localization of human beings. LÄS MER
4. Single-molecule Detection in situ
Sammanfattning : The human body contains a variety of different cell types that share a common genome, but differ in how they use the information encoded therein. Variation in molecular content exists even at the level of individual cells, and to provide deeper insight into complex cellular processes methods that permit analysis of each cell on its own are needed. 5. Vision-based Human Detection from Mobile Machinery in Industrial Environments
Sammanfattning : The problem addressed in this thesis is the detection, localisation and tracking of human workers from mobile industrial machinery using a customised vision system developed at Örebro University. Coined the RefleX Vision System, its hardware configuration and computer vision algorithms were specifically designed for real-world industrial scenarios where workers are required to wear protective high-visibility garments with retro-reflective markers.
