  1. 21. Ny väg till nya vägar och järnvägar : Finanseringspragmatism och planeringsrationalism vid beslut om infrastrukturinvesteringar

    Författare :John Hultén; Statsvetenskapliga institutionen; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; pragmatism; rationalism; railway investments; road investments; transport infrastructure; co-financing; alternative financing; investment planning; planning; Decision-making process;

    Sammanfattning : Investment planning is a decision-making process with specific characteristics. It is often seen as a rational quest for solutions that are in the public interest, and the dominant discourse tends to be technical and economic. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Communication in Games and Decision Making under Risk

    Författare :Erik Wengström; Nationalekonomiska institutionen; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Communication; Repeated Bertrand Games Cooperation; Renegotiation; Experiments; Risk Aversion; Non-cooperative Game Theory; Selection; Loss Aversion; Timing of Uncertainty Resolution;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is divided into two distinct parts. The first part studies communication in games and the second part investigates individual decision making under risk. Chapters 2 – 4, co-authored with Ola Andersson, investigate communication and renegotiation in dynamic games. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, I present both theoretical and empirical work where we have studied how humans and animals use information in situations where they need to continually update their information on the density of a resource. We have found that the amount of information, and the way the information is presented, are important factors for how well decisions are adapted to current circumstances. LÄS MER
