    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, I present both theoretical and empirical work where we have studied how humans and animals use information in situations where they need to continually update their information on the density of a resource. We have found that the amount of information, and the way the information is presented, are important factors for how well decisions are adapted to current circumstances. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Charged particle multiplicities in p̄p reactions 540 GeV C.M. energy

    Författare :Barbro Åsman; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Antiproton-proton reactions at a centre of mass energy of 540 GeV are studied. The results were obtained using the UA5 detector installed at the CERN SPS Collider.The pseudorapidity (-n) distribution for non single-diffractive events is presented and compared to ISR data. 3. 3. Alcohol-related harm among youth in Sweden

    Författare :Siri Thor; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Compared to before the turn of the millennium, adolescents are now less likely to drink alcohol and to engage in heavy episodic drinking, both in Sweden and in many other countries. However, in societies where alcohol is consumed, alcohol-related harm is almost always present and alcohol consumption is still the leading risk factor for mortality and morbidity among 15–24-year-olds and is related to a wide range of adverse consequences.
