    Sammanfattning : This study deals with the process of children leaving home and its interactions with the household economy in preindustrial society. A theoretical model of leaving home is outlined and then analyzed multivariately, using a longitudinal micro-level dataset for a sample of parishes in western Scania, Sweden, for the period 1829-1866.     Sammanfattning : In this thesis, I present both theoretical and empirical work where we have studied how humans and animals use information in situations where they need to continually update their information on the density of a resource. We have found that the amount of information, and the way the information is presented, are important factors for how well decisions are adapted to current circumstances. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The complex and vulnerable tissue of the spinal cord does not heal after injury, leaving patients with lifelong disability after spinal cord injury (SCI). Many milestones have been reached during the last century through specialized centers for SCI, greatly increasing life expectancy and quality of life by battling common medical problems such as urinary tract infections, pressure ulcers, spasticity, neurogenic pain, and sexual function as well as providing means of rehabilitation to a meaningful and productive life after SCI.     Sammanfattning : Hemoglobin (Hb) has been recognized as a main pro-oxidant in fish, causing fast and intense lipid oxidation.
