  1. 1. Today's perfect - tomorrow's standard : the role of consumers and the limits of policy in recycling

    Författare :Jonas Kågström; Bo Öhlmér; Tage Klingberg; Daniel Matisoff; Högskolan i Gävle; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Recycling; Social marketing; Public marketing; Communitarianism; Austrian Economics; Praxeology; Decision making; Symbolic Regression; Compliance; Self Determination Theory; SDT;

    Sammanfattning : In this study the mechanisms influencing recycling rates around the system maximum are deliberated. On the one hand, Policies, System design and how Citizens understand the two aforementioned are pitted against each other. LÄS MER

  2. 2. In-situ assessment of density and material properties in timber structures by non-destructive and semi-destructive testing

    Författare :Thomas Kruglowa; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; X-ray; Vasa warship.; semi-destructive testing SDT ; density determination; non-destructive testing NDT ; calibration procedure; Keywords: In-situ assessment;

    Sammanfattning : ABSTRACTIn the assessment of timber structures, diagnostic investigations of the structural members and connections are generally necessary. The assessment often requires appropriate non-destructive testing (NDT) and semi-destructive testing (SDT) techniques. LÄS MER

  3. 3. EXPLORING MOTIVATIONAL MECHANISMS IN EXERCISE BEHAVIOUR : Applying Self-determination theory in a person-centred approach

    Författare :Karin Anna Weman-Josefsson; Magnus Lindwall; Boo Johansson; Jesper Lundgren; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; autonomy; competence; exercise; intervention; mediation; relatedness; autonomy; competence; exercise; intervention; mediation; relatedness;

    Sammanfattning : Involvement in physical activity (PA) and exercise behaviour is multifaceted and depends on bidirectional correlations between multiple factors; one avenue to increase the understanding of sustainable exercise behaviours would be to employ a motivational perspective. In this thesis, this was done by placing the primary focus on Self-determination theory (SDT) as a person-centred approach to study the motivational mechanisms believed to impact exercise behaviour based on the SDT process model. 4. 4. Motivating External Participation in Marketing Intelligence Foresight

    Författare :Andrew Flostrand; Esmail Salehi-Sangari; Leyland Pitt; Victoria L. Crittenden; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; marketing intelligence; stakeholder engagement; self-determination theory; Delphi technique; crowdsourcing; foresight; motivation; technological forecasting; social forecasting; Industrial Marketing; Industriell marknadsföring;

    Sammanfattning : Long-range planning for purposes of deciding on the development of high investment and long development cycle activities requires that assumptions be made about environmental factors at the time of their future completion. For organizations that serve a market, the future market factors related to supply, demand, and technological developments are at once fundamentally critical and unknowable  with certainty. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Prior Knowledge and Recognition Memory : a Computational Modeling Approach

    Författare :Johan Hellman; Institutionen för psykologi; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Recognition memory; Episodic memory; Pre-experimental familiarity; Event-Related Potentials; Item variability; Receiver-Operating Characteristics; Computational Models;

    Sammanfattning : For more than a century, an immense interest has been devoted to the study of recognition memory, where a multitude of memory phenomena has been explained. Recognition memory is usually described with parsimonious measurement and statistical models, stemming from dual process theory and signal detection theory. LÄS MER
