  1. 21. Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Parkinsons's disease and related disoders

    Författare :Yulia Surova; Lund Neurologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Mr Imaging; DTI; Parkinson s disease; Progressive supranuclear palsy; Multiple system atrophy;

    Sammanfattning : Objectives: To identify diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers in the cerebral white (WM) and the deep grey matter (GM) in patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD) and atypical parkinsonian syndromes (APS) using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Methods: Patients with a clinical diagnosis of PD, multiple system atrophy (MSA) and progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) were included in the study. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Stress has emerged as one of the most important factors to consider in psychiatric diagnoses and has become a common reason for long-term sick leave (LTSL). Roughly 50% of LTSL due to psychiatric diseases are thought to be associated with work-related stress. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Brain Tumor Imaging and Treatment Effects. Imaging findings and cognitive function in glioblastoma patients

    Författare :Anna Rydelius; Lund Neurologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Glioblastoma; Imaging finding; Quantitative volumetry; Cognitive function; Diffusion tensor imaging DTI ; Treatment effect; Radiotherapy; VMAT; Parametric response maps PRM ; Treatment responce prediction;

    Sammanfattning : AbstractBackground: Glioblastoma is the most common malignant brain tumor. Operation with maximal resection, if feasible, otherwise biopsy followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy with temozolomide is standard therapy. The prognosis remains poor, with median overall survival being 15 months despite therapy. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Affibody-Based Molecular Imaging and Targeted Therapy of HER3-Expressing Cancer

    Författare :Sara Sophie Rinne; Anna Orlova; Vladimir Tolmachev; Mohamed Altai; Anzhelika Vorobyeva; Melpomeni Fani; Uppsala universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : The human epidermal growth factor receptor type 3 (HER3) is overexpressed in different types of cancer and is a known contributor to disease progression and resistance to cancer therapy. This thesis is based on five original articles, which aimed to improve the diagnostic and therapeutic potential of affibody-based agents for management of HER3-expressing cancers. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Desmoid tumors. New aspects on diagnostic procedures, treatment and outcome

    Författare :Mikael Dalén; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :desmoid; fibromatosis; surgery; radiotherapy; chemotherapy; statistics; imaging; studies; cytology; biopsy; pathology;

    Sammanfattning : Desmoid tumor (aggressive fibromatosis) is a rare, benign fibroblastic/myofibroblasticneoplasm that originates from musculoaponeurotic structures. It never metastasizes but locallygrows aggressively and infiltrates surrounding tissues. The treatment of choice has beensurgery. However, local recurrences are frequent. LÄS MER
