    Sammanfattning : The way in which Reformation conflicts were carried out by the leading clerical Reformers has been studied in depth, but those at the margins of the Reformation have often been neglected. Hence, this thesis examines lay perceptions and manifestations of the ‘rhetorical Streitkultur’ (culture of conflict) through the writings of the furrier and radical reformer Melchior Hoffman.     Sammanfattning : This study of the contribution of working-class fiction to the debate on class conflict in Britain is based on four novels written by two ex-miners between 1929 and 1939: The Gate of a Strange Field (1929) and Last Cage Down (1935), by Harold Heslop, and Cwmardy (1937) and We Live (1939), by Lewis Jones. These novels represent, in work­ing-class fiction, a unique combination of an archetypal working-class occupation, min­ing, with central features of the 1930s cultural discourse, the role of political ideology in literature.     Sammanfattning : The overarching aim of this thesis, situated within Museology and Heritage Studies, is to investigate the different modes and devices of transfer between sacredness and heritage. The research question, 'What happens in the transfer between heritage and sacredness?', is investigated as production of sacred heritage in early modern Europe and specifically Sweden, Rome, and Venice (Part I), and as uses of the sacred as heritage in different times and contexts (Part II).
