    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis was to improve the understanding of what cognitive functions are important for driving performance, investigate the impact of impaired cognitive functions on drivers with brain injury, and study adaptation strategies relevant for driving performance after brain injury.     Sammanfattning : In this dissertation, the meanings of the Swedish particles in ‘in’, ut ‘out’, upp ‘up’ and ner ‘down’ are analysed when these words function as verbal particles and thereby, together with the verb, build phrasal verbs. The analysis, primarily based on cognitive semantics, includes semantically regular as well as lexicalised phrasal verbs, and seeks to explain the polysemy of the particles. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The present work assessed cognitive functions, such as attention, memory, and cognitive flexibility, in 20 Bosnian men with combat-related PTSD, acquired during the Balkan war 1992-1996. Veterans with chronic PTSD were tested – 7 years after the end of the hostilities – with a battery consisting of the Sustained Attention to Response Task, the Hayling Sentence Completion Test, the Trail Making Test, the Rivermead Behavioural Memory Test and the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (verbal part); two questionnaires – Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test and the Posttraumatic Diagnostic Scale – were also administered.
