    Sammanfattning : The state-owned Swedish Space Corporation established a satellite remote sensing infrastructure and defined uses for the technology both within and beyond Sweden during the latter part of the twentieth century. This thesis studies Swedish satellite remote sensing as an environing technology – a technology that environs, that produces environments and our perceptions of the environment. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : To fulfill the increasing demand for high-speed electronics used for computation or communication is one everlasting challenge for the semiconductor industry. Emerging fields such as quantum computation also has a need for circuits operating at cryogenic temperatures. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Optical Studies of Polytypism in GaAs Nanowires

    Författare :Neimantas Vainorius; NanoLund: Center for Nanoscience; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Photoluminescence; Raman scattering; Polytypism; Quantum confinement; GaAs nanowires; Fysicumarkivet A:2017:Vainorius;

    Sammanfattning : Semiconductor nanowires are often regarded as having potential to be building blocks for novel applications. Their geometry allows defect-free combinations of materials that have a high degree of lattice mismatch. III-V semiconductor nanowires can also be grown in the wurtzite crystal phase, which is not stable in bulk material or thin films. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Growth of Semiconductor Nanowires for Solar Cell Applications

    Författare :Magnus Heurlin; Fasta tillståndets fysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; NATURAL SCIENCES; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; MOVPE; Aerotaxy; III-V semiconductor materials; nanowire; solar cells; photovoltaics; Fysicumarkivet A:2015:Heurlin;

    Sammanfattning : Nanowires have the ability to absorb light much more efficient than conventional thin film layers. This makes them candidates for the development of new types of solar cells that have higher efficiency and lower material usage than current technologies. LÄS MER
