Sammanfattning : This dissertation proceeds from the learning play as a historical idea about a theatre produced in relation to a political movement. Through the participation in the collective creation of two theatre performances, Violence & Learning and Corpus & Punishment, it takes part in the learning about societal phenomena in an attempt to answer the question: How can I participate in the creation of a new generation of learning plays? One of the starting points is a critical approach to views that the audience is passive and needs to be activated, or uninformed and needs to be informed. LÄS MER

8. Envisioning American women : The roads to communal identity in novels by women of color
Sammanfattning : This study explores the representation of female identity formation in ten novels, published between the late 1960s and the late 1980s, by American women of color Paula Gunn Allen, Sandra Cisneros, Maxine Hong Kingston, Paule Marshall, Louise Meriwether, Toni Morrison, Alice Walker, and Sarah Wright. The motivation for such a selection is based on the novels' shared formal and thematic characteristics, as well as on political affinities in the emphasis on the forces marginalizing their non-white female protagonists. Sammanfattning : Within our cities the importance of urban green spaces such as forests, parks, wetlands, and protected areas are increasingly recognised for their contribution to human health and wellbeing, and in the provision of ecosystem services. Meanwhile, cities contain much social, cultural, economic, and environmental diversity, and natural resource management strategies for green areas need to account for the diversity of perspectives and conflict spaces that such urban diversity can encapsulate.
