  1. 26. Characteristics of the functional independence measure in patients with neurological disorders. Measurement through Rasch analysis

    Författare :Åsa Lundgren Nilsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :rehabilitation; assessment; measurement; stroke; traumatic brain injury; spinal cord injury; Rasch; item response theory;

    Sammanfattning : The Functional Independence Measure (FIMTM) is an internationally widely used outcome measure, measuring disability in terms of dependence or need of assistance. The aim of this study was to evaluate the structural characteristics of FIMTM using the Rasch model, with regard to scoring function, cross-cultural validity in Europe and cross-diagnostic validity within rehabilitation units in Scandinavia. 2. 27. It is on my skin, on my soul, and on my life : development of a disease-specific quality of life instrument for adult patients with acute cutaneous leishmaniasis in Iran

    Författare :Alireza Khatami; Berndt Stenberg; Maria Emmelin; Hans Stenlund; Farhad Handjani; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; cutaneous leishmaniasis; fundamental measurement; needs-based approach; neglected tropical disease; probabilistic model; quality of life; qualitative content analysis; the Rasch model; epidemiologi; Epidemiology;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL), is the most common form of a group of diseases known as leishmaniases. They are caused by obligatory intracellular protozoa from the genus Leishmania and transmitted by sandflies. LÄS MER

  3. 28. Sensor Fusion for Automotive Applications

    Författare :Christian Lundquist; Fredrik Gustafsson; Thomas B. Schön; Uwe Hanebeck; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Kalman filter; PHD filter; extended targets; tracking; sensor fusion; road model; single track model; bicycle model;

    Sammanfattning : Mapping stationary objects and tracking moving targets are essential for many autonomous functions in vehicles. In order to compute the map and track estimates, sensor measurements from radar, laser and camera are used together with the standard proprioceptive sensors present in a car. LÄS MER

  4. 29. Synchrophasor based Steady State Model Synthesis of Active Distribution Networks

    Författare :Farhan Mahmood; Luigi Vanfretti; Francisco Gonzalez-Longatt; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Active distribution networks; phasor measurement units; model synthesis; real-time simulation; hardware-in-the-loop.; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : With the increased penetration of distributed energy resources (DERs) at lower voltage levels, distribution networks (DNs) are being transformed into active grids. This has led to a paradigm shift in the operation, planning and control of DNs. LÄS MER

  5. 30. A Facet Model of the Logical Operational Structures of Piaget's Theory : Guttman's Facet Design applied to Piaget's Theory

    Författare :Barbro Bergling; Siv Fischbein; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; facet design; Piaget; operational thinking; Rasch; partial credit model; hierarchical model; psykologi; Psychology;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis explored whether the complex structure of Piaget's theory of operational thinking could be synthesized into a facet model by means of facet design. The aims were: (1) to deduce from detailed conceptual analyses of 12 of Piaget's classical experiments the essential parts of the operational structures (Study I); (2) to explore the internal structure of his constructs in terms of a mapping sentence (Study II); (3) to study the hierarchical structure of the interrelationships between the constructs (Study III); and (4) to apply the facet model in the development of test items (Study II and IV).
