  1. 31. A Factor Analytical Approach to Dynamic Panel Data Models

    Författare :Milda Norkute; Nationalekonomiska institutionen; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Dynamic panel data models; Factor analytical method; Bias; Incidental trends; MA errors; Factor-GMM;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the development and application of new estimation approaches based on factor analysis for estimation and inference in dynamic panel data models with fixed-effects. A new factor analytical method (FA) for the estimation of fixed-effects dynamic panel data models is proposed in Bai ("Fixed-Effects Dynamic Panel Models, A Factor Analytical Method". LÄS MER

  2. 32. Uncertainty, variability and environmental risk analysis

    Författare :Monika Filipsson; Tomas Öberg; Bo Bergbäck; Lars Rosén; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :Contaminated land; exposure assessment; exposure factors; risk analysis; risk perception; uncertainty; variability; probabilistic risk assessment; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; Miljövetenskap; Environmental Science;

    Sammanfattning : The negative effects of hazardous substances and possible measures that can be taken are evaluated in the environmental risk analysis process, consisting of risk assessment, risk communication and risk management. Uncertainty due to lack of knowledge and natural variability are always present in this process. LÄS MER

  3. 33. Likelihood-Based Tests for Common and Idiosyncratic Unit Roots in the Exact Factor Model

    Författare :Martin Solberger; Rolf Larsson; Johan Lyhagen; Jean-Pieree Urbain; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :panel unit root; dynamic factors; maximum likelihood; Lagrange multiplier; likelihood ratio; factor analysis; Statistics; Statistik;

    Sammanfattning : Dynamic panel data models are widely used by econometricians to study over time the economics of, for example, people, firms, regions, or countries, by pooling information over the cross-section. Though much of the panel research concerns inference in stationary models, macroeconomic data such as GDP, prices, and interest rates are typically trending over time and require in one way or another a nonstationary analysis. 4. 34. Burnout, work, stress of conscience and coping among female and male patrolling police officers

    Författare :Susann Backteman-Erlanson; Christine Brulin; Inger Öster; Mojgan Padyab; Gunvor Gard; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Patrolling police officers; qualitative content analysis; health; burnout; troubled conscience; coping; demand; decision latitude; social support; multiple logistic regression; factor analysis; differential item functioning; gender patterns; omvårdnadsforskning med medicinsk inriktning; Caring Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Background. Police work is a stressful occupation with frequent exposure to traumatic events and psychological strain from work might increase the risk of burnout. This thesis focuses on patrolling police officers (PPO), who work most of their time in the community and have daily contact with the public. LÄS MER

  5. 35. Studies of Tropospheric and Stratospheric Aerosol using Ion Beam Analysis

    Författare :Giorgos Papaspiropoulos; Kärnfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; atmosphere; Aerosols; troposphere; stratosphere; ion beam analysis; PIXE; impactors; particulate sulphur; chemical speciation; elemental analysis; thermography; Physics; Nuclear physics; Fysik; Metrology; Kärnfysik; physical instrumentation; Metrologi; fysisk instrumentering; Fysicumarkivet A:2001:Papaspiropoulos;

    Sammanfattning : Atmospheric aerosol particles are believed to have an impact on the radiative forcing of the earth's surface. The predicted results indicate a net cooling effect on the global climate, however there are few studies available to substantiate this and experimental data are needed. LÄS MER
