  1. 1. Effects of Testing and Enactment on Memory

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : Department of Psychology, Stockholm University

    Författare :Veit Kubik; Lars-Göran Nilsson; Fredrik Jönsson; Jonas Olofsson; Monika Knopf; Mihály Racsmány; [2014]
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; testing effect; test-potentiated learning; enactment effect; cued recall; forgetting; episodic memory; psykologi; Psychology;

    Sammanfattning : Learning occurs not only when we encode information but also when we test our memory for this information at a later time. In three empirical studies, I investigated the individual and combined effects of interleaved testing (via repeated rounds of study and test practice) and encoding (via motor enactment) during learning on later cued-recall performance for action phrases. 2. 2. Pictures and a Thousand Words Learning Psychology through Visual Illustrations and Testing

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : Department of Psychology, Stockholm University

    Författare :Ann-Sofie Jägerskog; Fredrik Jönsson; Staffan Selander; [2015]
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; learning; multimedia learning; retrieval practice; testing effect; visual illustration; learning styles; visualiser; verbaliser; Subject Learning and Teaching; ämnesdidaktik;

    Sammanfattning : For teachers and students to be able to make informed decisions about how to best improve learning, it is important to compare learning strategies that are known to be effective. Both multimedia learning, based on the notion that individuals learn better from words and pictures presented together than from words alone, and retrieval practice, based on the idea that retrieving knowledge from the memory is an active process that has a beneficial impact on learning, have been found robust learning strategies in earlier research.     Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; real-time systems; testing; monitoring; TECHNOLOGY Information technology Computer science; TEKNIKVETENSKAP Informationsteknik Datavetenskap; Datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : People make mistakes. Software engineers are no exception to this fact. When software engineers make mistakes, these manifest in the form of buggy software - a major problem in today's industry. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Weldability of Precipitation Hardening Superalloys – Influence of Microstructure

    Detta är en avhandling från Akademin för innovation, design och teknik

    Författare :Joel Håkan Andersson; [2011]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Hot cracking; GTAW; Transvarestraint testing; Varestraint testing; Gleeble testing; Solidification cracking; HAZ liquation cracking; Repair welding; Strain age cracking; EBW; DSC thermal analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Superalloys and in particular the precipitation hardened Ni-based superalloys havealways been used extensively in the hot sections of jet engines. Large hot structuralengine components with complex geometry have preferably been cast as single piececomponents since the large scale vacuum investment casting process becameavailable about fifty years ago. 5. 5. The effect of gonadal hormones on the sensation of pain Quantitative sensory testing in women

    Detta är en avhandling från Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press

    Författare :Kent Stening; Anders Blomqvist; Mats Hammar; Per Hansson; [2011]

    Sammanfattning : Accumulating evidence points to sex differences in pain sensitivity and many chronic pain conditions preferentially affect women. Sex hormones, and in particular estrogens, have been shown to affect pain processing and pain sensitivity in animals, although the findings are divergent. LÄS MER
