Sammanfattning : Sport psychological training seems to be a viable way of facilitating development and performance for adult athletes, and even though sport psychological training for young athletes is less investigated, research indicates that talented athletes can benefit from sport psychological training as well. The aim of this thesis is to review and add to the current knowledge on sport psychological training for young elite athletes, and to investigate sport psychological interventions for young elite athletes. This thesis aimed to develop an evidence-based programme for antenatal preparation for early parenthood and to test its feasibility. Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to describe and evaluate patient education and nurse-led follow up for patients with heart failure. Descriptive designs were used to map out the nurse-led heart failure care in Sweden (I) and to identify factors influencing compliance with prescribed treatment in patients with chronic heart failure. 19. Follow-up of adults with congenitally malformed hearts with focus on individualised and computer-based education and psychosocial support : A descriptive and interventional study
Sammanfattning : Background and aims: Many adults with congenitally malformed hearts are at risk for complications such as decreased function and capacity of the heart due to the heart defect and previously surgery. This advocates self-management behaviours related to medical treatments, physical activity, preventions of endocarditis, some restrictions regarding suitable employment and spare time activities, birth control and pregnancy, but also lifestyle concerns such as refraining from smoking and healthy eating. 20. Mild traumatic brain injuries : the impact of early intervention on late sequelae
Sammanfattning : Aims: Studies I & II:To assess the incidence of Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) in western Sweden and to investigate health-related quality of life and post-concussion symptoms (PCS).
