2. Usability Evaluation of Medical Technology: Investigating the Effect of User Background and Users' Expertise
Sammanfattning : Medical devices play a major role in diagnosis and therapeutics in the healthcare systems. The basic features of medical devices concern safety and efficient clinical performance. Nowadays, usability evaluation is an important part of the design process of medical devices. LÄS MER
3. Product Lifecycle Management – Architectural and Organisational Perspectives
Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) with focus on architectural and organisational perspectives. The increased complexity in industry regarding processes, IT systems and organisation makes it difficult to manage product information from several and traditionally different engineering fields. 4. Qualitative and Quantitative Assessment of Integration Testing for Model-Based Software in the Automotive Industry
Sammanfattning : Background: Integration testing of vehicle software in the automotive industry relies heavily on simulation models. As they replicate actual vehicle functions in the testing process, they increase in size and amount of interconnectivity as rapidly as the actual functions. Valid simulation models are a precondition for valid integration testing. LÄS MER
5. Mobile systems for monitoring Parkinson's disease
Sammanfattning : A challenge for the clinical management of Parkinson's disease (PD) is the large within- and between-patient variability in symptom profiles as well as the emergence of motor complications which represent a significant source of disability in patients. This thesis deals with the development and evaluation of methods and systems for supporting the management of PD by using repeated measures, consisting of subjective assessments of symptoms and objective assessments of motor function through fine motor tests (spirography and tapping), collected by means of a telemetry touch screen device.
