    Sammanfattning : Avhandlingen analyserar Thomas Hardys romaner med syfte att utröna varför de oftast väcker en känsla av ambivalens i läsaren. Med utgångspunkt ifrån Julia Kristevas teori om det semiotiska, enligt vilken intertextualitet uppstår genom en transposition av diskurser som har sin grund i primärprocesserna, åskådliggör avhandlingen hur intertextualiteten i Hardys berättarteknik bidrar till att skapa ambivalens.     Sammanfattning : The hypothesis put forward in this thesis stipulates that films always say more of empirical value about the time in which they are produced than they do about the periods they depict.     Sammanfattning : For the Armenian-Russian mathematician, theologian and art-theoretician Pavel Florensky (1882–1937), the so-called reverse perspective of the Byzantine cult-image (in Greek: eikon) functioned not only as a phenomenon within painting, but also as an expression of a world-view that should ultimately define a cultural distinction between Russia and Europe. Florensky argued in various ways that the Russian-Orthodox reverse perspective represents ethical and aesthetical values that are superior to the Western linear perspective. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This study explores how the French luxury fashion house, Dior has mobilised its power over a 70 year period through the constructed persona of the designer, who functions as a figurehead, together with the brand’s heritage. It investigates how the house of Dior reinvented itself after the death of its founder in 1957 through the charismatic succession of a series of designers; Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, and finishes in 2015 with the departure of Raf Simons.
