  1. 31. On Observer-Based Control of Nonlinear Systems

    Författare :Anders Robertsson; Institutionen för reglerteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Observers; Output feedback; Separation principle; The Positive Real lemma; Kalman filter; Backstepping; Robotics; Automation; Chained form systems; reglerteknik; robotteknik; Automatiska system; control engineering; Lyapunov stability; Nonlinear systems; State estimation;

    Sammanfattning : Filtering and reconstruction of signals play a fundamental role in modern signal processing, telecommunications, and control theory and are used in numerous applications. The feedback principle is an important concept in control theory. LÄS MER

  2. 32. Negative Pressure Wound Therapy - Effects on Sternotomy Wounds and the Intrathoracic Organs

    Författare :Christian Torbrand; Lund Oftalmologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; NPWT; negative pressure; vacuum-assisted closure; sternotomy wounds; deep sternal wound infection; mediastinitis; thoracic surgery; pressure transduction; neurohormones; neuropeptides; total heart volume variation; cardiac output; wound contraction; macrodeformation;

    Sammanfattning : Negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) has been widely adopted for the treatment of deep sternal wound infections due to its excellent clinical outcome. However, the mechanisms of action and effects on hemodynamics have not been thoroughly elucidated. LÄS MER

  3. 33. Plant-animal interactions and seed output of two insectpollinated herbs

    Författare :Anna R. Waites; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; plant reproduction; pollen limitation; pollinator behaviour; heterostyly; seed predation; Lythrum salicaria; Pedicularis palustris; stigma receptivity; self-pollen; Terrestrial; freshwater and marine ecology; Terrestisk; limnisk och marin ekologi;

    Sammanfattning : I combined comparative and experimental studies in the field and in the greenhouse to examine factors influencing reproductive success in two insect-pollinated herbs, the tristylous, selfincompatible perennial Lythrum salicaria and the self-compatible, biennial Pedicularis palustris. More specifically, I explored (i) the effects of plant population characteristics on the intensity and outcome of interactions with pollinators and seed predators, (ii) whether flower morphology affects duration of stigma receptivity, and (iii) whether damage-induced reduction in floral display reduces pollinator visitation and increases pollen limitation. 4. 34. Surgically corrected univentricular hearts. Anatomical, haemodynamic and functional status at a long-term follow-up

    Författare :Eva Strömvall-Larsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :cavopulmonary connections; univentricular hearts; long-term follow-up; pulmonary; arteriovenous malformations; lung volumes; cardiac output; pulmonary gas exchange and maximal; exercise studies;

    Sammanfattning : The Fontan operation and its modifications are applied to a large spectrum of congenital heart defectswith univentricular physiology. The Fontan circulation is characterised by a reduced, non-pulsatilepulmonary blood flow and the elevated central venous pressure is the main driving force for thepulmonary blood flow. LÄS MER

  5. 35. A Framework for Analyzing the Operative Performance of Sequential Module Flows

    Författare :Peter Fredriksson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; operative performance; module assembly units; sequential module flows; unit of analysis; output criteria; car industry;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with sequential module flows (SMFs) and their operative performance. In brief, an SMF denotes the preassembly of components into product modules, which are delivered to a final assembly line in the same sequence as product variants are assembled. LÄS MER
